A friend of mine was at Sloan and I enjoyed hanging out with her a couple of semesters ago. Enjoyed the campus. And Boston/Cambridge is a great place (as is New England in general). A friend of mine is at SAIS but DC in the summer was almost the death of me humidity-wise!

Both are absolutely outstanding programs. You have some very bright friends.
Cambridge is nice from May - June but then it is either unbearably humid or unbearably cold. Downtown Boston/Back Bay is pretty solid but Cambridge (less Harvard Square and Kendall Square) is pretty crappy. MIT isn't exactly a stunning campus and Harvard is very overrated as anything after Harvard Yard is generally pretty so/so - especially since the credit crunch ravaged their endowment and put the breaks on the Allston Initiative, which is in, you know, Allston.

Boston is possibly my favorite city in America. And my mom is a New Yorker. Great place to be in college. New York is a great city, of course, but NYU is always going to be somewhat of a commuter school and New York is much better when you have a degree and you are making enough money to enjoy it. Boston is great for school and afterwards. I take a similar view to New York in these things as I did with London, which is why I decided against LSE (as good a school as it is). As an undergrad you should have a college experience. You can experience a city at any point in your life.

I know my daughter and SIL are now planning on returning to London permanently. They love the city, and now that they're duals they have gone European in their outlook, and are basically counting the days to leave the States and go back.
I can't say I'm thrilled, but it beats the alternative. She mentioned New York, but I told her I would disown her if she moved there.
There's nothing wrong with New York City that a five megaton neutron bomb wouldn't fix.

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you,” Matthew 5:11-12.
Every evil word your profess against me in the name of Christ validates the prophecies to which I so dearly cling.
Thank you for this blessing.

You know something, I'm tired of hearing you use this as an insult. My undergraduate degrees were in Philosophy and Theology and Biola has one of the finest undergraduate and masters level programs in philosophy/theology in the world. IN THE WORLD. Our philosophy graduates have one of the highest PhD placement records IN THE WORLD as well and are extremely sought after because of the rigor and quality of the philosophy department. The world of philosophy has traditionally been dominated by theist thinkers (something to do with truth being important to internal consistency in an argument) and this is an area where faith based schools really shine. I had a wide range of schools I could have gone to and CHOSE Biola because I wanted a rigorous education grounded in truth. The full scholarship didn't hurt.
Now, please remind all of us, where did you attend school?

In truth?
Hahahahahahahahahahha.
Science is destroying your religion- that of hatred and bigotry and superstition- every damn day. Higgs Boson, mother fucker.
You never answered what was wrong about calling Jesus the Criss Angel of illiterate Iron Age Palestine. Because he was.
Want to tell us why God picked on the poor Amorites but wouldn't dare fuck with Egypt?

Given your depth of experience in the world, that means absolutely nothing.
I've got fucking socks that have been more places than you've seen in your life.
Oh, and that's why Texas is, was and will be the fastest growing state, with the best economy in the country.
Seriously kid, keep your delusions of grandeur confined to shit you actually know something about and have experience with, like jerking off and what kind of spells Orcs use on Level 7 of Dungeons and Dragons, or whatever the fuck you play.

Seeing as how you're all genius and everything, how about you explain to us poor laymen, IN YOUR OWN WORDS WITHOUT CUTTING AND PASTING ANYTHING, exactly what the Higgs boson is, and why is it considered the "God particle"?
Oh, and how that negates any possibility of a supreme being creating it? Where exactly did it come from again?
Go ahead, we're all ears.

What a bunch of drivel.
The big boys play in Manhattan, fucker. Not Texsucks.
Sorry if you can't afford a place in SOHO or TriBeCa or UES or UWS or Midtown or Greenwich Village. Lol.
We're a bit flashy for you, anyway.

God particle is a terrible name for it, so say my physics friends. I'm not well-versed enough in physics to give an appropriate answer. I know my limitations.
But I can assure you it wasn't "created" by some masturbation-hating douche in illiterate Palestine.

Again, coming from the pimply kid sitting in Tennessee, this is beyond stupid. "We"? Who the fuck is "we"?
You're not in New York dumbass, so there is no "we." There's YOU, sitting in the room your parents pay for, pecking on the computer that they paid for, using the Internet access that they paid for. YOU haven't done jack shit.
You're off the meds again obviously.
And you never answered anyone's question: how many times have you been there? And for how long? And where did you stay? The Plaza? Or was it the Holiday Inn-Brooklyn?
Btw, the "big boys" in the number one industry in the world, the oil business, do NOT live in Manhattan. They live in Houston. I know, because my daughter is married to one, and they ain't in New Fucking York.

NYC's fucking mayor is richer than anyone in Houston.
No, the big boys in oil live in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and Qatar. This isn't the 80s.
And NYC apartments. The NW area of Central park is home to the most expensive real estate (existing and in development) in the world.

If your daughter is marrying an oil big wig, he's probably old. Congrats to her, anyhow. Good evolutionary choice.
