"This formula does not apply to the Occupy Wall Street movement, which is as white as an Idaho picket fence. A Washington Post opinion piece cites a survey that found "African Americans, who are 12.6 percent of the U.S. population, make up only 1.6 percent of Occupy Wall Street." And blacks are 25 percent of New York City's population. Occupy Wall Street was a home game for them. By contrast, 6 percent of tea party supporters, according to an April 2010 Gallup poll, are black. That's almost four times the number of blacks who make up Occupy Wall Street."
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!

The only people I have heard this from are conservatives claiming that liberals say this. Can you show me one liberal that said or wrote this please. I made the same request to someone else that made this accusation, and the request was met by cricket sounds.
Interestingly, Cain played the race card. I have never seen Obama play it.

For once he is correct, if unintentionally due to his ignorance...it does not "site" anything, but it does "cite" instances of Obama playing the race card, as do the other articles.
Leftists are always the same, if presented with facts....they blame the messenger.... combined with him being a low life liar and one make repeated unwelcome comments and attacks upon my family, these are the reasons I never respond directly to him, but on occasion must point our for others his reprehensible behavior

I believe it has been stated and at least implied by Obama's supporters. I did not see Mr. Obama stifle this anymore than he would have done this with statements by his followers that the Tea party was a bunch of racists. Don't you find it interesting how different the OWS was treated compared to the tea party by the mainstream press or how much support they had by unions, local cities, and even a gourmet chef in NY? How much money did different cities pay for clean up and feeding these people? How much did these people cost many others with their port protests? How much did the Tea Party have to pay compared to the OWS to have and organized protest? How much did it cost local governments to clean up after the tea party demonstrations? You on the left are so smug and easy to discredit. The name liberal is very misleading. You are liberal and openminded in my experience as long as everyone is kumbaya!. If someone does not agree you (not you personally) tend to marginalize or discredit. The problem with the right, is that they have not figured out how to play dirty enough. I have heard from commentators, blogs, people of reputation claiming that we on the right are pissed because we have a black president. That is absolute and total bullshit. I would not care if Obama was green Irish troll if he was so great. I tire of this attitude by many. The funny thing is that I do not hate Obama. He seems like a good guy. I just do not like his fiscal policies.
Morgan Freeman goes after the tea party with this ignorant interview. It is embarrassing.

If you want to argue that some Obama supporters have accused people of racism, I would agree. That is very different than Obama playing the race card as people have accused. Do some people play the race card when I believe they are totally off base? Absolutely. However, sometimes motivations are race based.
As far as the OWS being treated different, they are different. In some ways, rightfully. They are different and their tactics were different. Also, one is on the right and the other on the left. That caused Fox to promote the Tea Party and slam the OWS. It caused MSNBC to embrace the OWS and criticize the Tea Party (not nearly as bad as Fox slams the OWS).
The clean up for the OWS is a legitimate complaint in my opinion, but New York pays to clean up after all protests and parades. This is not out of the ordinary there. As far as feeding, I am not aware of the city paying anything to feed them. I thought all of the food was privately donated.
As far as liberals being happy unless someone disagrees with them, that is the same with the left. As far as the right not playing dirty enough, what is claiming that all of the protesters fail to shower, are homeless and unemployed? What is intentionally doctoring videos (i.e. fraud) to make a point by Fox News? That is not playing dirty?
Getting back to the point, contrary to what Scotty posted, Obama has not played the race card. Some supporters have. The example that you gave of Morgan Freeman is a good one. However, that is much different that Obama doing so. Should the wrong statements of supporters be imputed to a candidate?

It would be political suicide if Obama played the race card. His supporters to include a member or two have made statements slandering the tea party. Obama does not have to lift a finger. I would not either in his position. His silence in sense is tacit approval of this tactic or a political ploy. Either way the seed of doubt is placed in the minds of his supporters.

I agree with your first sentence. Regarding the slander, people on the right have not slandered the OWS? I believe the slandering of the OWS is worse. Your post was objective for the most part. You did not like having to pay to clean up and deal with them. That is a legitimate concern in my opinion. However, claiming that all of them are unemployed, unbathed, violent, homeless people is ridiculous. I hear that on Fox, conservative talk radio, conservative blogs and from Republican politicians all the time.
As far as not denouncing things, Republican candidates not only fail to denounce offensive stuff, they sometimes agree with it and never apologize. For example, the false claims by Huckabee regarding Obama's past (him growing up in Kenya as a Muslim and being anti-West during that upbringing) during the first campaign were unbelievable. No one denounced that. He never even apologized for them. I have not seen any Republicans denounce Trump's continued insistance that Obama was not born here. Candidates are begging for Trump's approval. Why should Obama be held to a much higher standard than Republicans? He is supposed to denounce everything said by supporters, but Republicans do not even have to apologize for what they say or what is said by a Presidential candidate of their party.

Tea Party vs OWS and black people
