Chevy Volt Battery Catches Fire, Government Investigates General Motors' Electric Car
WASHINGTON -- The government is investigating new fires involving the lithium-ion batteries in General Motors Co.s Chevrolet Volt to assess the fire risk in the electric car after a serious crash. One Volt battery pack that was being closely monitored following a government crash test caught fire Thursday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a statement Friday.

Because we export it all at high costs..tax the oil companies that do so to make it advantageous to sell surplus here ..cheaper ! We all win. Or....let's throw billions of dollars to create cars that run on Hope !!!! Maybe they won't catch on fire like the Volt !!!

I more than once corrected you, and on the old board I linked back to the conversation that birthed your lie. As usual in the face of facts, you still choose the lie. well, we still hafta make up for the past 40 years of tree huggin control. we still be a small drop in a big pool. US imports are dropping but STILL THERE. we need to stop thinkin we're goona run out of dinosaurs to burn. or the sky is falling when there's an oil leak. just clean the mess up and and realize that pelican was gonna get eaten by a shark any second
