I heard a great Ann Margaret story a few years back. It went something like this; Ann was at a function and had set about an hour aside for meeting and greeting people. A particular Viet Nam Vet had waited in line for over an hour because he had pulled guard duty and missed her performance when she came to entertain the troops. He was about to miss out again when she heard about him. He ended up on her arm for the rest of the evening as her special guest.
901, do i have the details on that correctly?
The serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.

"Brave" comes out this week, Pixar's first feature with a strong female character at its center. And while it's not among the animation powerhouse's best films from a storytelling perspective, it is undeniably beautiful. Among its more appealing visual elements is the wild mane of long, red curls on the head of Scottish princess Merida......

A number of years ago, Ann Margret was still taking meeting in Hollywood and considering parts (she only takes occasional roles today), a buddy of mine met with her at was shocked at how gracious and classy this woman is. She, in her day, was one of the biggest stars in the world -- forget divas like Angelina and Charlize -- Ann Margret was HUGE.
It appears as if none of that ever went to here head. When she arrived, she knew not only the producer's name, but also the names of his lieutenants AND his assistant. What impressed him the most was her humility and willingness to actually READ for the part. The woman was pure class...which makes her that much sexier.
Add to that her excellent acting skills which can still be seen occasionally on Law & Order or CSI.
