  • For a young guy, I have a thing for the classic beauties. Anyone for a young Sophia Loren or Raquel Welch?

I've said this for a while now.....Raquel Welch at her peak, was the sexiest woman to ever walk this earth. Hell, she's like 109 right now and I'd still wax that.

    Ann what's her namebiggrin

I heard a great Ann Margaret story a few years back. It went something like this; Ann was at a function and had set about an hour aside for meeting and greeting people. A particular Viet Nam Vet had waited in line for over an hour because he had pulled guard duty and missed her performance when she came to entertain the troops.
He was about to miss out again when she heard about him. He ended up on her arm for the rest of the evening as her special guest.

901, do i have the details on that correctly?

I don't know about that one, but she was exposed by Snopes, and if you read the link you might have an idea about whether she would do something like you say.

Did Ann-Margret sign a photo and publicly thank a soldier for serving his country?

  • A number of years ago, Ann Margret was still taking meeting in Hollywood and considering parts (she only takes occasional roles today), a buddy of mine met with her at was shocked at how gracious and classy this woman is. She, in her day, was one of the biggest stars in the world -- forget divas like Angelina and Charlize -- Ann Margret was HUGE.

It appears as if none of that ever went to here head. When she arrived, she knew not only the producer's name, but also the names of his lieutenants AND his assistant. What impressed him the most was her humility and willingness to actually READ for the part. The woman was pure class...which makes her that much sexier.

Add to that her excellent acting skills which can still be seen occasionally on Law & Order or CSI.

No one else would name her, but in her day.....

"Brave" comes out this week, Pixar's first feature with a strong female character at its center. And while it's not among the animation powerhouse's best films from a storytelling perspective, it is undeniably beautiful. Among its more appealing visual elements is the wild mane of long, red curls on the head of Scottish princess Merida......

life long close friend of Elvis.....

reputedly one of the few from the Hollywood crowd to attend his funeral, but I do not know if that is true...

regardless, always had a reputation for being very classy

I am going to take a guess and say that what I heard was a version of your Snopes post. Whether one or two instances, she's a class act in my book! clap

    Yep.

Been a fan of hers ever since the movie Assassins. Probably my third all time favorite right below the Little Mermaid and Jessica rabit.

Agreed! Raquel has historically sent me to my 'peak' as well(still does)...the same can be said for a young Sophia Loren.

I thought I was the only one who liked this show. It gets zero play in the media. Very enjoyable show with great characters. And indeed Sarah Rafferty is fine.

Damn...the true greatness of this show is proven by its ability to bring together in agreement that which nothing else outside of USC football can do.
