it came up as an aside in a thread this week. Goflifing with my wife this week we got paired with strangers. One fo the guys asked about my "usual golf group" and I said you're looking at her. We golf together almost evey week-end. My question is, is this really that odd? are my friends secretly talking shit behind my back that she comes with when I invite them out?

I golf with my wife quite a bit. She is not a good golfer. She typically will hit her shot, pick up and drop near mine. She does not talk incessantly. She follows proper etiquette and we enjoy spending the time together. We get paired up with other people frequently. I've seen some of the guys look a little hesitant to play with us, but by the end they tend to get very friendly with her. In my mind, anyone who has a problem with that takes themselves way too seriously.
