The resolution will accuse Holder and his Justice Department of obstructing the congressional probe into the allegations that the government let thousands of weapons fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
The citation would attempt to force Holder to turn over tens of thousands of pages documents related to the probe, which has entered its second year.

This is a stunning display of hubris on Holders part by failing to turn over all of the documents subpoenaed by Congress.
The very best argument he has is to admit to incompetency on his IG's part that an investigation of this nature still hasn't yielded answers after one year.
That still shouldn't preclude him from turning over documents in his possession, though.
Not surprised at all by the lack of media attention on this matter, but I'm guessing they would have a far different response if a Republican appointed AG flipped off Congress in a similar manner.

Remember Whitewater? Nothing proved and but the slur stuck around. The GOP start these ridiculous witch hunts with every Democratic president. I want the GOP to soberly hold the administration to account: the role is incredibly important. But do it soberly, fairly and not in response to the feverish apocalyptic paranoia of the wingnuts.
Now I don't know about this investigation. We don't have enough evidence- although I see many a wingnut has concluded guilt before the evidence is in (Trayvon case, anyone?)- but I am suspicious of Rep. Issa. He never met a reporter he didn't want to tell how great he is.
We'll see, I guess.
