Oh yeah this is great. They should have a central computer controlling these things and eventually get some cyborg counterparts on the ground. Then they should give the computer control of our nukes. But only after they disarm everybody.
CS has been all for the erosion of civil liberties as soon as his guy won the Presidency. However, when they were eroded by the Patriot act under GWB he was staunchly against it.
It seems that he thinks that it is OK to let them go under a Liberal, but not under a Conservative. The problem is that once they are gone, they never come back.
That was a statement on Civil Liberties, in general, and I was quite clear on that. Whether it is drones or surveillance without a warrant, our liberties have been compromised.
That was supposed to happen on Aug 29, 1997 -- but there have been temporal distortions that have prevented that from happening - at least according to Sarah Connor.
You're guessing wrongly.
True we have a history of a "wild west" philosophy out here. But we're confident in our position. Ill post more details after it passes the house and senate.
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
Well that's good to hear!
Don't get me wrong. I share your dislike for indefinite detentions without due process and disagree with the Supreme Court regarding its constitutionality. I just do not believe the state has the authority to undermine the federal government once the federal law has been deemed constitutional. Also, I consider the use of drones on Americans outside our reach very different than indefinite detention without due process.

If you were running things, would Anwar al-Awlaki still be alive?
Probably, because if I was running things, I'd put the corrupt and compromised CIA out of business.
And get intelligence from?
Hells yeah. Send Snuffie deep, deep, deep undercover.
My children would apply for a job.
Well, he was able to keep his cover for decades, until that damn Big Bird blew it!
Yellow stool pigeon punk.
That pinko Elmo had a hand in it too!
Funny thing about that Elmo... It's kind of like he's always got someone's hand shoved up his ass!
It's the smile on his face about it that makes me go hmmm.
"Yellow" as in cowardly?
Backtrackin' like a politician.
This is something to think about. If it can be done, it will put a lot of people out of work, but I love the potential. This is some shit right out of the Jetsons.
Imagine a world where drones fly the skies -- but the drones arenre delivering packages, leapfrogging traditional infrastructure to create a world connected by tiny, nonviolent drones.
That and driverless cars are candidates for the waves of the future. Interesting stuff.
I missed this post last month.
What? The? Fuck?
Deet has made up his own history of my past positions. He doesn't seem to remember that I am the guy that caught it from both sides for supporting the Patriot Act, even though I had questions/problems about some aspects of the legislation (much like it would seem some now want to argue that Rand Paul has problems with the 1964 CRA). I am the guy that has defended the DHS. I am the guy that has told people to STFU when they start complaining about the TSA.
Man for such a smart guy you sure like some LOUSY government institutions!
