Lieberman is not one of our own. How many times do I need to point out he is not a Democrat? He was rejected by democrat voters. He is not an elected Democrat. He campaigned for John McCain. He is a major critic of Obama's foreign policy.
Foreign affairs both political and Military are specific areas he is out of touch with Democrats on. He would not be a reliable representative of the President's agenda.
i love dem's you wanted him to be VP.......
No, there was very little enthusiasm for him when Gore chose him. Most democrats supported the ticked, but real Leiberman fans were scarce.
As much as I dislike Lieberman, I would have rather seen him as VP over the likes of Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Paul Ryan.

On the same logic, Republicans wanted and actually voted in Bush for President TWICE and Cheney for VP TWICE. Now, Republicans claim that he was not a real Republican. Why did they nominate, campaign for him and vote him in a SECOND time?

It's not just Reps...
Read conservative news, blogs and opinion about Barack Obama, Chuck Hagel, Defense and gay from The Weekly Standard, the must read magazine available in online edition.
a liberal trying to talk about LOGIC LMFAO.....
I will pass it so you will know how your life will be fucked, i know better then you dipshit.......yes liberals and the fucking logic
keep talking ...... it is why i stick around, I do laugh so hard ....you cant make this shit up.
How conservative of you. You could not find anything false in my post, so you attack me for being liberal. When have you even posted where you let logic and facts get in your way?
That's true. Also, Jewish groups are concerned about a past comment.
It just seems odd that conservatives are against him considering the tremendous things said about him by conservatives while he was in Congress and when he left Congress. Conservatives liked him a lot until Obama floated nominating him. McCain now seems to be leading the charge against him. However, presidential candidate McCain said that Hagel would make a great cabinet member in his administration and that he wouild be honored to have Hagel in his cabinet. What happened since those comments? Obama nominated Hagel, not McCain.

I don't see why we keep nominating Republicans for Defense. I guess to guarantee that they don't play politics with the nomination. But that now seems unlikely. I guess Lugar turned down a job in the administration?
“Close tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share,” Reagan vowed.
Cynically, one may speculate that Obama did it this time to get cover when defense spending is reduced.
A good suggestion, but it does seem to be a trend.
Hagel has just been confirmed.
Finally. He was treated pretty badly IMHO.
- Clarence Thomas
The shitty thing about the situation is that he was treated badly by people that couldn't say enough positive things about him a few years ago.
so incompetence is now the new competency.
Supporting and taking money from those who want to destroy the US is the new patriotism
confusion and being ill prepared is now the new strength
hating allies is now the new Americanism
BO worked for a Illinois state representative and then turned on her so he could take her seat, so McCain is not the first politician to change his mind. Why don't you worry about BO changing his mind rather than McCain.
isn't this country great, no matter how incompetent someone is, there are people who will support them.
Big Louie in the house!!!
So would everyone else!!!
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
I thought you would prefer Paul Ryan over Lieberman...no?
Ah, no. Paul Ryan sucked ass. Much like his running mate.
The others you mentioned are more establishment type jokers!
(1) Clarence Thomas had no problem getting a vote.
(2) Clarence Thomas was not treated badly by people that were supposedly his friends and had said very nice things about him recently.
You are correct. Hagel did take money and support those that want to destroy the U.S., conservatives.
McCain is not the only Republican to "change his mind." It was MANY Republican Senators that coincidentally changed their mind when Hagel became an Obama appointee. It is not only this. Republicans are constantly for people or policies until Obama promotes them. They all of a sudden change their minds on a consistent basis when that happens.
Comparing Obama competing against a former employer for an elected office is not comparable to consistent hypocrisy. The comparison is bullconservative. Obama went for a job he wanted. There is nothing hypocritical about that. None of the Republican Senators did this to advance their careers. They were hypocritical to spite Obama.
