You didn't say that you wouldn't have married your wife. You said that you and your wife wouldn't have gotten married. Please explain the difference. Please explain how you marry your wife if you and your wife don't get married.
How do you know how I am acting. You cannot see me. As for my writing, nothing in my post implied a knee jerk. I stuck with what you wrote, nothing more. I do not care who you discussed it with. As I wrote, it is a ridiculous argument and undermines your credibility. It is even more ridiculous if true. I find it funny that you claim that my arguments are ridiculous after that.
I do not claim to know you other than what you have told me. Regardless of who you are, the claim about marrying your wife is ridiculous.
You do realize that makes absolutely no sense. Not even close to making a jot of sense at all. WHy would you and your wife not get married if Gay Marriage was allowed?
There are eight different types of marriage in the bible. Never mind that polygamy had not been completely eradicated at the time of the new testament.
This makes no sense....
If because of gay marriage you and your church would decline to join in a married relationship, then the issue is with you and your church's practices. Not gay marriage.

What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
It makes no sense. If the Church he belongs to or he and his wife choose not to get married because of the existence of Gay Marriage, then its a choice they made. Nothing prevented them from getting married other than an interpretation of the bible. If they believe that gay marriage is wrong that is fine. But it is clearly their choice.
I agree with your point. It makes no sense to choose not to marry because gays can marry. That was the point I made to him a long time ago. Yet, he continues to argue that it makes sense. He then claims that I lack credibility because of the ridiculous arguments that I make.
His statement made even less sense from a logical prespective. He argued: "I didn't say that I wouldn't have married my wife. I said that my wife and I wouldn't have gotten married." What is the difference between the two sentences? That argument may be the most ridiculous that I have seen on this board, It even tops his I wouldn't have married my wife if gays could marry argument.
It was a stupid statement when he made it. He didn't really think through what he was saying before he made the post....and now his sense of pride won't allow him to just come back and admit that it was a silly thing to say.
Even worse, he is compounding it with things even more ridiculous.
If you love the lady...put a ring on it.. which reminds me...
