I agree 100%. There should be criminal charges brought, but there won't be.
Well, this IS a good example of how the good guys need guns to protect us from bad guys meme is totally stupid. No one can tell who is who ahead of time. Read the guy's manifesto: even he thought it was dumb he could get so many guns so easily. That being said, I would like the light shone in the LAPD's direction too.
Somebody told me an interesting theory, that the LAPD were the ones who shot and killed the asian girl and black dude in Irvine and caused Dorner to snap. Not that I believe it's true, I'm sure he would have mentioned something in his manifesto.
Dorner sent a package to CNN with a note. Perhaps this will prompt CNN to look into Dorner's allegations.
The whole situation reminds me of V for Vendetta and there is a tie to gun rights here. Does anybody want to live in a country where only the corrupt, shoot first LAPD have weapons? The media is spinning this exactly as you would expect and yes they will claim it's a reason to ban guns without even asking what led this man to do this except "he must be crazy..."
I doubt this guy is a mad man. I believe he made an informed decision based on the situation he was in. I'm not justifying what he is doing, but what he did was calculated. He appreciated the consequences of his actions and has a purpose.
Anybody still think you can put up a resistance to the gov with small arms?
I'm telling you guys, us tinfoil hat folks aren't always the crazy ones. LAPD is scarred shitless because they can't control the situation and this dude is not afraid of them. These chumps are so edgy they're popping off at old ladies. These are the police???? People should be more afraid of the police than this guy.
How would you know if it wasn't true? We really just know the story we're being fed.
I wouldn't really know what to believe. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the LAPD is hunting this guy out of fear of what he really knows. They aren't going to arrest him, they are out to kill him.
That was one loooong manifesto!!! Dude is not a fan of the LAPD, DOJ and especially the NRA. Seems to love Piers Morgan, Dianne Feinstein, Obama and Gun Control (ironic).
Totally agree. No way this guy gets taken alive.
No one is suggesting that guns should be taken away from everyone. However, the argument you make against it is bad. If only cops had guns, they would not be shooting first. They would not be as afraid of getting killed before they got off their shot. Also, would having guns have helped any of the victims of the cop shootings? Were they to shoot the cops before the cops opened fire? If they attempted that, they would be dead instead of a pair being missed (in one case) and another pair being injured (in another case).
There is no justification for this man to do this. He is crazy. He may have been wronged, but that does not justify declaring war on the whole police force. Any people that believe this is acceptable and that he is not crazy for doing it should not own guns, because they are crazy and have no clue as to when it is appropriate to use them against other human beings.
One cannot put up a resistance with small arms. Believing so because of this is ridiculous. One can kill people and hide, but that is a far cry from putting up resistance. A criminal can hide without a gun.
You can tell us that you tinfoil had folks aren't crazy, but that does not mean it is accurate. Without this guy being armed, there is no problem. Without the police being armed here, there is a problem. Arguing that we should be more afraid of the police is lunacy. How many innocent people are shot by the police and how many innocent people are shot by non-police? It is not even remotely close.
Just read the manifesto. This would make a phenomenal movie..get on it Hollywood!!
The Torrance shooting is exactly what this guy is referring to, stupid ass cops
I hope they uncover some of the dirty chit that goes on and that they catch this dude all at the same time.
Does anyone know if anyone is investigating what he asked in his manifesto? Would be curious to see if all he says is true
Even Dorner does not claim that. He is claiming that he did not lie when he was fired. It seems to me that if he did not kill those people, he would claim that. Killing those people is much worse than lying. You need to remove the tinfoil hat.
We agree on something. There is quite a bit of irony here.

Holder will get right on it...
It's a vast conspiracy to take guns from people. This guy is like the poster child for the gun control movement. Him and Adam Lanza were probably trained/brainwashed at the same government compound.
Not saying the above is necessarily true, but if you wanted to orchestrate some events to push the anti-gun agenda, these would certainly fit the bill. I mean, given the resources of the PTB, how hard would it be to orchestrate these events? A few agents, some guns...next thing you know we have no guns, then we only have certain access through telecommunications, then we are assigned jobs, and then moved into camps. Not saying it's true, but I do appreciate the possibility.
Is it also coincidence that all these crazy gun rampages seem to be coming in close temporal proximity?
in lue of using up upvotes!
Feelings get hurt, best not to have any!
I am sure that a lot of people are.
Who could he possibly be conspiring with to take guns from people? Seriously.
The manifesto was amazing reading. That is all.
You seem to have the world figured out pretty well, so I would assume you know the answer.
If I was up in Big Bear right now, I wouldn't mind having some firepower in the home! Ya know? Ok lets play FBI...I have my doubts Dorner is even up there now, if he planned it like I think he might have. Setting his truck on fire just seems to me his way to divert all attention to that area and he may have had his escape planned out....if he didn't ..he's dead soon but may take a few more with him. We will see. Another thought, this would be a good day to go snowboarding in Big Bear...no crowds at all and fresh snow... just need to operate the lifts somehow or get a ride to the top from the ghetto bird and maybe carry an automatic weapon just in case.
The obvious answer is no one, but I am not the one who claimed that there was a conspiracy. A conspiracy takes more than one person. I am curious with whom you believe he may be conspiring when you claim that it is a possibility.
This is just a theory, but my guess is he lit his car ablaze as a diversion and had another car up there already. Hopped in the car, went out the back way and is in Nevada by now.
He had a home in Nevada and knows the area.
This guy is a serious nut-job, even if you think this is a conspiracy...the dude is not playing with a full deck (or maybe a couple of extra cards).
I just wish that the media would look at the common thread between all of these recent shootings (going back to Jared Laughner) -- MENTAL HEALTH. Could we get a meaningful discussion on how to address that, or is it not as sexy or politically charged as gun control? I think we could find a lot of common ground and get something done on the mental health front.
He said he wanted to vote for John Huntsman and stated his admiration for George H.W. Bush. But thanks for trying to score cheap partisan points based on this tragedy. Where is your Christian empathy? Geez.
