I have the IQ tests to prove my intelligence. I have the academic success to prove my intelligence. I have the business success to prove my intelligence. I have the GMAT/LSAT scores to back up my intelligence. I assure you I have no insecurity about my brain power. And, despite the fact that you will do your absolute best job at internet psychologist hackery I have the social success to prove my intelligence.
About the only stupid thing I can think of doing over the last two days is arguing with someone who continues to describe their own actions with every attempted attack on me.
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
Phear, you're too smart to be getting riled up by some sub-6 figure Charles Schwab branch manager. Same guy who can't come up with any relevant analysis or empirical evidence and constantly has to resort to ad hominems.
What makes you beleve I work at Charles Schwab or am a branch manager? You demonstrate your intelligence once again. I have expressly told you, through posts, otherwise. I guess reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I make less than 1/3 of what I did in NY. I made a lifestyle choice moving to Florida. Odds are, I still make more now than you will in any year of your life. Nice try though (not really).
If you've gotten to know and become friendly (away from the board) with any of the people you've met from posting here over the years, hopefully one of them will be kind enough to tell you how incredibly insecure you come off here. You're trying too hard.
"CEO" of a "Securities Broker firm". Given your aptitude (or lack thereof) of worldly events and economic concepts, the best you can muster is probably a euphemism for Charles Schwab branch manager.
For someone who has a knack of selective reading and missing key points in other people's posts, I find it quite amusing you're throwing the reading comprehension card around.
As for the original topic... this picture is actually pretty funny even though the photoshop job was a bit off (election HQ + font deviation were dead give aways).
So says the two or three libs on the board who don't like me over and over again. If you can't beat me - call me stupid. If I prove I'm not stupid with facts - say that I am insecure.
Alinksy 101 - never let reason, facts, or logic get in the way of your position.
I'll make you the same type of offer that I made Phear when he doubted what I do for a living. I will bet you $5,000 that I am CEO of a U.S. broker-dealer. Phear was certain that I lied when I mentioned that I was in senior management at a large international investment bank, but his certainty waned when I suggested the bet. Talk is very cheap. You can now demonstrate that you are not just all talk, as is Phear, and put your money where your mouth is. Because I do not trust you and you apparently do not trust me, let me know if you accept the bet and we can agree on how to escrow the bet. Upon both of us escrowing the money, I will provide the proof (e.g. my name, a copy of my drivers license, and my company's name and you can check on FINRA's broker check to see that I am presently the CEO of a broker-dealer. Are you all talk also?
You have a long history. You did not only get into it with libs on the old board. In fact, I remember you getting into your worst argument with conservatives on the old board. It was one of the worst brawls I had seen on the old board, and the old board was the wild west. This is not a lib/con thing. It is you.
You can do as you normally do, ignore what others say, but you appear very insecure. Secure people do not typically toot their own horn as vociferously and frequently as you do.
By the way, you must be really butt hurt by our argument in the gas price thread. You have stalked me every since. Whenever I have a disagreement with anyone on the board, you feel that you need to jump in and be insulting to me. You and Phear seem very similar except that he is a much more extreme version of you.
Ah, I thought you meant active posters. Anyway, as you were all...
Haha. That's what I thought the general reaction would be! I guess my powers of prediction for threads are a little off!
I think you far from stupid. And I don't pretend to know you well enough to have any insight on anything else. But whenever we get into arguments from authority on these boards- which happens from time to time with various posters (and probably me included once or twice), it tends to get ugly quick. Just a general observation.
Anyway, ironically, I am off to an econometrics talk.

First you call Phear insecure and yet you make this gem of a post.
Someone must feel his manhood is being compromised.
I don't need to prove squat. But even IF you were some CEO of some boutique, small cap D-list firm, it just gives me a better understanding of why so many funds out there are under-performing and not even able to beat the S&P.
You flood the OT forum with junior varsity level posts as far as I am concern.
I respond to ONE post and I'm a follower/ stalker all of a sudden.
In addition to nitpicking, dodging questions, selective reading, etc., it also seems like you have a knack for hyperbole.
So, you are backing down just as your boyfriend did. All talk. You do understand that a fund and broker-dealer are not the same thing don't you? Unlike what you did ("I have relatives that are analysts and own stock") and what Phear does constantly, I did not volunteer my qualifications without provocation. I only did that after you attacked them and made up bullRay. I pointed out that your facts are wrong and gave the correct facts. Comparing the two is beyond stupid.
You are correct that the firm is small in the U.S. (it is large in another country, but only came to the U.S. recently). I never claimed it was big in the U.S. The large U.S. firms are in NY. I left a senior management position in a large, prestigious, international investment bank to move from NY to Miami. So? You have a problem with my vocation? Are you arguing that you are more qualified to discuss securities than me because my present employer is small in the U.S.? How large is your broker-dealer employer? What? You do not even work for a broker-dealer? Your knowledge of securities is from your relatives through osmosis? What an idiot. You deserve your boyfriend, Phear.
You are claiming that you only responded to one of my posts? You cannot count beyond one? :Let's see if I have a knack for hyperbole or if you have a knack for bullRay. If I show at least three posts that I made to other people that you then interceded to insult me this week (I believe in the last two days but I am not sure of the exact time frame), will you agree not to post for a month? Again, are you just full of bullRay or willing to back up your claim?
Another quality, on topic, post by the guy who started this fight by complaining about the usefulness of one of my posts.
Outstanding work as usual.

Yeah, but your qualifications suck ...
This could go on forever. Can we all just move on from this thread? Pretty please?
Fair enough. Carry on! Phear, morethan pm'ed me to say that you smelled. Morethan, phear got my number and called and said that you sucked. Use this information how you both wish...
You know you got nothing left in your already limited arsenal when you start resorting to ad hominems and gay joke innuendos. I can easily call you by your commonly used moniker of "moronfan" but that's simplistic and reserved for intellectual lightweights like yourself.
And actually, you were the one who came out huffing and puffing with your (lack off) vocation talk via your "i know more than you about oil cause i'm an 'expert' in my field" spiel.
Likewise, did you really try to make me bet on your mediocre finance credentials? I mean really? You just basically admitted you couldn't handle the big leagues of bulge bracket banking in an impact city and ran scurrying to some micro-cap, no-name firm in a tier 2/ tier 3 market. That is akin to football players who can't crack the field at BCS conference schools and have to opt for a mid-major or 1AA school. Also wouldn't surprise me if you getting shitcanned from your old job was what induced you to make the "lifestyle" switch.
Lastly seeing as how I'm up 65% on my portfolio year over year, I would think my knowledge in equities are just fine regardless of what my relatives do for a living.
I'm claiming I responded to that one post you accused me of "stalking".
Likewise, I call out everyone (OT or FB board) who I think shows a blatant disconnect with reality and continues to act like an asinine individual. What makes you think you're special enough to merit exemption? Plus you just happen to have a higher propensity of meeting these criteria.
As I said originally, you post in almost every damn thread on this OT section and most posters would end up replying to your posts more than once sooner or later. You're basically like B.D but with less literary acumen. So no... such "bet" here wouldn't prove anything once again.
Right. They suck so bad that you did not even believe them. You thought It was puffery on my part. How intellectually honest of you.
