Finished his NFL season 9 rushing yards short of the all-time single season yardage record...
Hell of an effort on his part to get the Vikings into the playoffs and to put up an excellent full season performance only a year after major surgery.
I'm not ashamed to say, "Fight on, Adrian Peterson!"
Incredible season by AD. Simply incredible.
great season, great player.
To have the second best season in history the season after the injury in unreal.
How much credit goes to Matt Kalil
He hasn't been this much of a beast since College.
He and Marshawn Lynch are scary....
I feel bad for him....he is one hell of a great player.
Tous pour un, un pour tous
You mean besides 2008 when he ran for 1760 yards?
AP has been well over 1000 yards each year but last year when he only played 12 games and still got 970.
I remember when he walked out of the Coliseum tunnel on his official visit to USC. He looked like a man among boys then. You could just tell that he was going to be something.
"...an economy hampered by restrictive tax rates will never produce enough jobs or enough profits" JFK
The coach may have gotten criticized but I think he could have nursed that clock better. The way AP was running they could have run all the way in for the TD and got him the record too. But they didn't want to risk giving Green Bay the ball back.
If AP had continued to the outside instead of cutting back inside on that last long run he could have gotten out of bounds and stopped the clock. Minnesota would have had 1st down and a timeout with 20 some seconds on the clock. I know that the PC thing to do is to focus on making the playoffs. But we are talking about an all-time record. It would have been a great ending to the game to allow him to get the last 12 yards for the TD.
I love seeing records broken. Especially when its done the way AP has done it this year. Plus he is also a guy that seems to have his head screwed on right too.

I don't disagree but 2000 yards is a whole different kettle of fish. So no...not since College when he essentially dominated the game.
He has been the dominant back of his generation/class. Nobody else really close. Stephen Jackson, Ray Rice and Jones Drew are up there but nobody has the numbers he has had.
So I would say he was the dominant back in college and NFL.
Amazing season from an amazing running back. The rematch is going to be fun to watch. Wish he got those extra 9 yards.
