Celtics acquire Courtney Lee.

  • Sign and trade which sends Moore, Johnson, Williams, and next year's 2nd round pick to Houston.

Heck of a move by Ainge. Celts bench will look something like Green, Terry, Wilcox, and the rooks. Waiting on Pietrus and Stiemsma. Celts got younger.

  • Decent move by them....still doesn't put them ahead of Miami and chicago.....but definitely improves their squad.

The only player that is really a loss in that group is Etwan Moore. Johnson still doesn't have an NBA body and seemed like he was struggling to put it all together.

Until Rose comes back healthy?...Chicago is an after thought. Good team...but an after thought. Miami is still the team to beat, for sure.

Watched Johnson a few times during the Orlando summer league games. His body is not his only problem. His game is a tweener. He's unsure of himself on the offensive side of the ball. Not a good sign playing summer league competition. Sully, on the other hand, he has a game. Looking forward to seeing him next season.

And I think the Celtics improved more in the off-season than Miami.

    You're kidding?

Adding Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis - with a healthy Bosh, who Boston couldn't beat when playing in the playoffs - puts Miami far ahead of Boston.

Bostons post season accomplishments were the worst thing that could've happened to them. They're now deluded into believing they're close.

In reality, it was all smoke and mirrors. Kinda like the Dodgers quick start.

Not only did they lose Ray Allen, but they signed Kevin Garnett for 3 years. Talk about a double whammy. They have no chance going into next season. Why waste a year? Just start the rebuilding process now.

Pretty much! A healthy Heat team & adding Ray & Lewis is better than any moves any other team has done this off season!

  • OK....seems like I'm completely oblivious to D-Rose's injury.....i was under the impression that he'll be out and about by the time camp opens......no?

  • Ummmmm........WHOA......didn't know it was this serious. I'm by absolute means no Bulls fan, but I couldn't help but to like Rose because I got to meet him during the lockout while he was clubbing here in LA and he was super cool. Hopefully whenever he comes back he's 100% healthy....but it looks like its down hill for him from here on out. uhoh

Wait will be long for same old Derrick Rose - ESPN Chicago

The wait will be long to watch the same old Derrick Rose we're used to.

No, he will be lucky to play a year from the date. Bynum's injuries where not so bad as his. That should tell you something.

Yeah....sucks for him, Bulls fans, and the NBA.

Exchange the word bowl with post and you'd have your response. Not very good...try harder next time.

We'll see. The Celts were the least healthy team in the playoffs.

The Celts are younger for sure. We'll see what Rondo is able to produce with younger and more athletic legs.

I'll go with the Celts signings. KG, Bass, Terry, Green, Wilcox, Lee, and the rookies over Ray and Lewis. And the Celts aren't done.

The Bulls losing Rose trumps any number of injuries the Celtics had to 2nd/3rd tier players.

  • Damn, I was hoping the Wolves would get Lee after Portland matched the offer sheet we gave to Batum.

Not saying Rose isn't that important. In fact...that wasn't even my point. I was referring to Bosh vs the Cettic four missing. Give me Green and Bradley and I'm good.

There aren't many players in the league that have Rose's ability to change a game. At the same time...I wouldn't call Green and Bradley 2nd and 3rd tier players, neither.
