  • I worked the show at the Greek.

Buddy Guy is great, but I could have done with less of the kids.

Well you're the expert on Music...I'm not so much, but with that being said....If Buddy Guy thinks Quinn is worth introducing to the world and is that good, I'm going with Buddy!

Buddy Guy was unbelievable, Johnny Lang was fantastic! It was a great night of music!

    peace

We had two kids in LA (which one was Quinn, the skinny dark haired kid?), two kids got to bee a bit much and basically the end of the show felt like a guitar lesson rather than a concert. I wanted more Buddy to finish the show instead of a sloppy jam by the others.

There was only one kid...Quinn is a Red Head...Buddy didn't need to give him lessons...he just stood back with his hands out away from his guitar...he said he wanted people to know that he wasn't playing...it was all Quinn...that's how good he was.

yes, Guy used the same schtick in LA. We had a second kid who I thought was the better player. Quinn was the better singer of the two.

Buddy's larger point that the Blues is not dead was a welcome one.

    Helen,

Johnny Lang - aside from being a bona fide beautiful piece of ass - is a very underrated guitar player. I'm working on a score now and I keep putting "In the style of Johnny Lang" over all of the chord changes!

  • You should visit Buddy's club in Chicago. Great venue and he even shows up to play a bit sometimes.
