    A shame too because he has the ability and position to be an actual leader in the black community, but instead he gives us this.

    I know quite a few board leftys here called for Limbaughs head and showed quite a bit of glee when sponsers left radio stations and that type of stuff ensued.

    A little bit nuts, sure, but then, he always has been. So what's new? In Democrat circles that just makes him presidential material.

    I give him a B. Nazis/Hitler is a bit tired. After all, liberals have been using that metaphor with Sarah Palin for quite a while now (Joe McGuiness, the creepy writer who moved in next door to her; Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Beast), so it's not like it takes any original thought.

    Now Andre Carson, Democratic congressman from Indiana, member of the Congressional Black Caucus, did much better when he said the TEA party wanted to see blacks hanging from trees. He earned a solid A- for that one.

    Anyway, let's not get off message here. It's the GOP's rhetoric that's angry and inflammatory, not the Democrats'. Stick with the script.

  • Like I mentioned earlier this week. Whenever someone compares conservatives to Hitler, it speaks more about them than it does about the person being accused.

    That is, however, unless that person has made statements that suggest they are in favor of the annihilation of an entire group of people.

    Last I checked, the GOP is not in favor of that.

    Yes -- we had a constant flow of updates on how many sponsors had left Limbaugh over his comments (CS and RB were the posters chronicling this with glee).

    Will we get the same here?

    I think he initially lost about 20 advertisers, or so. However, I think many have come back since he apologized. It did not seem to have derailed his show, as many had hoped.

    Then again...I did just google Limbaugh / Fluke and the first page alone was WaPo, NBC, ABC, LA Times...

    And then googled Maher / Palin amd once again found only HuffPo and FOX, but, alas, no ABC, CNN, NBC, MSNBC on the first few pages...
