Could you at least say SPOILER ALERT? Is that too much to ask?

Perhaps, but I doubt NBC is even going to broadcast it tonight. They only broadcast American victories.....or so it seems.

Not trying to take anything away from the guy, but he is American was born in NY and raised in San Diego. The guy needs to rep the US not some country where his family lived two generations ago. Same deal with the Hungarian swimmer who almost beat Phelps in the 100M butterfly last Olympics.

His parents were born in the DR

And we have had plenty of athletes from other countries competing under our flag

Sanya Richards was born in Jamaica. Do you want her to return her Gold Medal?

Look, the USA historically blows everyone out of the water at the games. Look at the historical numbers. China may be a tough competitor right now, but if you look at other rivals we have had (USSR, East Germany) they fall off after time. Not just because they don't exist. But their successors, while competitive, do no remain on our level for every long. In other words, we'll be fine. If he feels a connection to where his family is from, let him. Those are countries that get 3 or 4 medals, each Olympiad, at most. Let them have just a bit of glory.

Plus SC still gets the medal, and tbh I care about that more.

No wonder why she won gold, man those Jamaicans are fast.

Always happy when a Trojan wins a medal in the Olympics. Especially a Gold. Felix Sanchez has been stud intermediate hurdler for about 15 years.

She has been in the U.S. most of her life. I believe she was 11 when her family left Jamaica.

Well not like next door neighbor, but he lives near me. Matter of fact, I saw him and his lady on the Friday of the opening ceremony at our local Target. I assumed he wasn't participating in this year's olympics because he wasn't there yet, so I didn't say anything to him.
