    There it is.

Dude is this year's version of Kaveinga, if true. He just hasn't been able to find a way to make an impact during his time at SC.

I've never heard anything bad about the guy, so I wish him all of the luck in the world going forward!

  • USC is a great program. Not all are good enough to play here so they move on. Kid tried out for the team in a sense and didnt make it.

Winning the academic award in the SEC is sort of like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you are still a retard.

I agree, he tried which is all you can ask.

  • I wonder how much the neck injury weighed in on the decision... I hope he is healthy and stays in school.

  • We're at 77 if Patrick Hall can somehow be re-admitted. And 78 if we like the idea of our punter having a scholarship. But still, we're close.

Simione Vehikite was suspended before just like Patrick Hall. Maybe there were reasons for why he left the team like James Boyd, Patrick Hall, and Dillon Baxter. He has three years on the team.

I thought our punter HAS a scholarship?

Kris Albarado is a walk on? News to me.

Apparently Negrete is on track to pay for his RS Sr year. If you were joking, apparently I missed it.

    Negrete has always been walkon.

So, our backup punter is the one with a scholarship.

  • This is disappointing. I've come to love the Polynesian player culture USC has. Hopefully Pomee, Vainuku, and others I'm forgetting blow things up!

Simione Vehikite, a reserve linebacker for USC, was arrested last month and faces felony charges related to an incident that occurred in July 2011, law enforcement records show.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website, Vehikite, 21, was arrested Feb. 6 in Inglewood. A court date to schedule a preliminary hearing is set for March 19, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.

According to the felony complaint, on or about July 16, 2011, Vehikite was allegedly the driver of a vehicle involved in an incident that resulted in him facing four counts: leaving the scene of an accident; driving under the influence and causing injury; driving with a .08% blood alcohol level and causing injury; and identity theft.

Vehikite, 5-foot-11 and 225 pounds, played in 12 games and made six tackles last season as a third-year sophomore. USC opens spring practice Tuesday. Vehikite is not on the roster.

"Immediately after [USC officials became] aware of the situation, he was removed from all team activities and has not been involved since then," Coach Lane Kiffin said during a campus interview Tuesday. "Simi has hired an attorney, and we will have no comments on the situation while we let it work through the process."

Kiffin said Vehikite was still attending classes and his status in the football program would be evaluated at a later time.

Vehikite could not be reached for comment.

If Vehikite does not return to the program, USC would have 76 scholarship players on its roster. Because of NCAA sanctions, the Trojans can have a maximum of 75 in the fall.

  • "Immediately after [USC officials became] aware of the situation, he was removed from all team activities and has not been involved since then," Coach Lane Kiffin said during a campus interview Tuesday.

If this were the SEC or Notre Dame, he'd face a 3 game suspension with no loss of practice time.

Anyway, hope the person he hit is ok.
