If Oregon got hit with a bowl ban and their players were allowed to go elsewhere without penalty? Would all be forgiven?

Definitely. Understand why some people have anger/hatred for him, but he was only 18 years old and we (or at least I) still don't know the full circumstances behind his decision. Everyone makes mistakes and if he wanted to be a Trojan now I'd welcome him with open arms. This is assuming he had the right attitude, was willing to put the team first, etc.

I didn't consider that so let me re-state the question assuming that rule did not exist. I know it's moot but hey, we still have 2 weeks and some change to spare until game time.

No. While I wanted him as bad as everyone else when it started, I'm not happy about the way he flipped. IF the flip was dirty, as some seem to think, then I would want him here even less. It was an odd flip... but there doesn't seem to be any public evidence of wrongdoing. But if there was, he could be declared ineligible anyway. Also, it could just be nerves/being bad with cameras, but he does not exude a lot of smarts in the limited interviews I've seen with him. And I like how our team seems to be talented, smart students (a few exceptions), and dedicated to USC.

I was because Redd left his teammates behind when things got tough. Shaw left to be closer to his father who can barely take care of his family.
So yes and no.

So yes and no.

Fair enough, obviously I would take any and all 3 of those guys at ND.
Not that I have ever really thought of these kids as "student-athlete's", but I believe Redd or maybe his father used the term business decision, which he is right about. It should help his NFL status.

Nope....they didnt go after our players when they could've, so we shouldn't go after their players. And besides, we already have plenty of young potential superstars at CB.

Hell no. If he had been upfront with his recruitment and told people he was going to Oregon I'd have some respect for the kid. But this guy was playing games, keeping everything a secret, and tried to clown SC on LOI Day.
Honestly fuck that guy.

Yes, he helped recruited our 2011 class and you just don't turn away that kind of talent as long as there aren't any behaviorial problems.

My stance on this is always "if they can help us and the coaching staff wants them, then I want them."
I absolutely can't stand what he did during his recruitment and don't like him because of it. But to be fair, he's never had a disciplinary issue in HS or college (that I know of, at least) so if the coaches were on board, I'd certainly take a weapon like that since it would undoubtedly make the on field product better.
Moot point, though, since there's no chance he'd be allowed to transfer in conference

No I wouldn't take that guy! He made his choice and I wish him the best but I wouldn't want him. We have enough guys that can make plays that I don't think we would need him...unless he agrees to play DB! LOL. Wouldn't want the gangs to get him anyway...
