    USC is a University. Notre Dame is a University. I do not hate anyone from USC. I wish them all well in their lives. I hope Notre Dames football team beats the USC football team and that is the end of my hoping for anything. I don't get how someone from either of these, or any university fan could hate someone they have never met. Anyway, good luck to all, Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy the game. May the best team win.

  • Seriously, what the hell is up with this?

    I started paying attention to football in 2001. I was 11. My parents had brought me to USC games since I was born, but I never really cared for much other than the band as I was never really into sports. Obviously, the team getting good helped me get into it. As such, I don't really remember a time when notre dame was really very good. But I've read the history, and heard from my parents. And the feeling I always got from it was that this was supposed to be our classy rivalry. USC and notre dame were like old... friends who lived far apart but met up once a year to do something. Both damn good at what they did. Both feared. Etc... The reason for "There's nothing better than beating notre dame and nothing worse than losing to ucla," I thought, was that due to the nature of the rivalry and the success of both teams, there was mutual respect between USC and notre dame, unlike USC and ucla. But that's not what it seems like, especially in the last like... 2/3 years. There's seems to be a lot of animosity. I can understand it coming from them, as we've dominated recently, but what's up with the Trojans who hate nd with a burning passion? Is my feeling on what this is supposed to be wrong? Was it never like that?

But to address your assumptions I was actually born in South Bend and have "graced" campus many times but you are right about attendance, I attend a quaint little liberal art school in Charleston until completion in December, probably on par academically with USC.

    Quaint little college in South Carolina? Is that where you get the gonads to use SC in your handle to troll USC boards?

    I do get the quaint bit, though. You do seem quaint in a Tennessee Williams kind of way so I'm sure that many of the domers are happy that you have "graced" their campus "many times".

    Preseason voting is based on performance at the end of the previous season, and returning starters. Hardly bias, regardless of the fact it was USC.

  • The problem is not that they have no heart, it's that they show up uninspired!

    How the heck do they even get to the point where they need to fight back from a 24-0, that's the problem.

    I honestly don't think this team will have this issue next year. Sometimes you have to take two steps back to move forward again.

    You sir are an idiot, I for one am not Catholic but I doubt too many people are concerned with Kelly's own personal beliefs on non football related issues. The fact you've been a better team the last decade isn't debatable but if you don't think your on field performances are a microcosm of the lost faith in your staff then I don't know what to tell you. Your team is not going to quit but if the players aren't buying into the coaches anymore then it won't matter. While you bash our schedule I hope you realize that it was preseason #1 and considering how eveybody likes to point out how poorly we beat teams then I'd assume it would be common knowledge that we can't win other team's games for them as well. Anything else you took as bravado was simply me saying the records don't matter in games like these so I expect a fight from the condoms.

    Hey nimwhit, if your Domers were part of the Pac12 you surely wouldn't be #1 and probably wouldn't even be in the top 15. There is no debating that the Trojans have been a big disappointment this season, but where do you get off saying that the team lost faith in the same coach that beat your sorry ass team into submission last season? Instead of trolling on our board, maybe you should be trying to figure how you (debatably) beat a very average Pitt team at home in OT? And please don't start with your great win vs Chokelahoma, as we all know how well they perform in big games. As much as I would have loved beating the uglyies last Saturday, I hope they make your way over-ranked Domers, give up on Saturday night like they did in South Bend last year. Believe me the rest of the CFB nation wants to see it too!

    Dood, 78% of my family don't like me, so if 95% of Helen's Trojan family likes her, why are you focusing on the 5% who didn't approve of her posts?

    You should take her seriously because she has forgotten more about Trojan and college football than you ever knew, and it's a wise idea to respect people who are smarter than you.
