We are going to beat Notre Dame

  • All season, every game that I had that concerned worried feeling over, we lost. Every game where I felt confident of a win we won. For some strange reason, I have this weird confidence of a win this week. I don't even think it is going to be all that close. No line posted yet, but you can all rest assured that I will be betting the money line on this one.

  • I'm feeling it too. The only variable here is Wittek. From what I've seen thus far I am confident

  • Agree. As mentioned in the other thread, ND has face only one top 50 offense. I really don't know if they have any talent outside of Te'O and that safety because they just haven't been tested.

What does worry me? Golson, another running qb. He can take a draw 20 yds no problem the way that our LBs just like to evacuate the field like there's a bonfire between the hashmarks.

Still, I think we can win a 30-24 game or something like that. (I expect lots of field goals because Wittek may struggle in red zone and I think Andrei will have a bit of fire after his misses this year)

  • lol this is funny. I get these feelings too, but I also thought the same when Mustain was starting...

  • I feel it too I was gonna post something like this as well. I'm telling you Wittek is going to get the job done. My guesses: 17-26 289yds 2TD 0INT for a Trojan win 34-21

Wittek is different though you can just tell from interviews and the way he has entered games. He literally looks like he does not give a shit which is perfect. I fully expect him to go into the game with the "This is suppose to be my first game but I don't care fuck it here's a TD" attitude.

Sure, but in that one game they held that offense to 13 points. Also, Miami is a top 50 offense, and they got 3 points. Guys like Nix and Tuitt just don't grow on trees. The secondary is young, but have held up well vs. other passing offenses this year. ND takes away the big play and makes teams drive 8-10 plays to score. The fact that USC has a knack for getting bad penalties and has a new QB playing this week, that might be difficult to do.

That said, guys like Lee and Woods can change a game on one play by themselves, so who knows.

Oregon fans should pay attention to Stanford-UCLA, not USC-Notre Dame.

Rose bowl wise, yes, but natty wise they need SC and FSU wins.

  • Remember when Stanfords D front 7 came out and punched you guys in the mouth? and Bark was completely rattled? well our front 7 is gonna do alittle somethin like that, except its gonna be much much worse. Our front 7 is better then Stanfords. Nixx, Tuitt, Kapron Lewis Moore, Teo, and Prince Shembo are our studs up front. your non mobile qb wont be able to escape. good luck, youll need it.

I've watched every single ND game this season. Your front seven is great, but it isn't better than Stanford's.

  • I just had a long conversation of an ND fan buddy of mine who is really excited about ND being ranked #1, but is worried about the game Saturday. I told him that ND would have been better off coming into this game #2 or #3 because to USC the only thing better than beating the Irish is beating them when they are ranked #1. We both remember 1964 and it has him worried.

I don't know which one is better, but they are both very close.

    westcoastfball

  • i could be bias but i think ours is, they may be better at OLB but if you grouped everyone in the front 7, the first 3 picks would be manti, nix and tuitt, then it gets close.

how do you figure Stanfords is better then ours? We dont let anyone score on us. Look at how many TD's we gave up this year. Stanfords D front is good, but not as good as ours. Sorry im not sorry. Cant have no in your heart. My a$$ your face, whats up?!

This is completely false, Arizona had 617 total yards against Stanford's defense no 1 has even come close of doing that to ND... Tuitt and Te'o are miles ahead of any 1 on stanford's front 7.

Arizona lost 49-0 and 66-10 what say you? Oklahoma's and Miami's offense both run spreads and have better athletes than arizona.

    jmsmooth33

  • okla and miami would both dominate zona.

  • I hope and pray USC wins this game...with all my heart.

BUT, if we lose, it will be some consolation for the tears that will run down the slimy little green faces of the floats...and the insufferable bama fans.
