Contrast the 5 PAC12 voters plus 3 small CA schools to the 7 SEC coaches, plus 8 more coaches from small schools in SEC states like Tulane, MIddle Tennessee, etc.
15 of the voters are from SEC states (I'm not counting guys like Dabo or Al Golden.)
That's nearly 1/3 of the voters. No wonder why there is so much SEC bias.
Bad enough that the media slobbers all over the SEC constantly. This poll is ridiculous.

The best thing I can say about this poll is that it will no longer be relevant starting in 2014. Bring on the selection committee!

Its almost like the top 3 are 1a 1b and 1c with how close the points were
#1 LSU 1,403 #2 Bama 1,399 #3 USC 1,388
then the big gap
#4 OK 1,276 #5 O 1,258
then a another big gap
#6 Georgia 1,061
With the top 3 pretty much equal, I like us being #3 to start. Keeps that growing chip on our shoulder!

Can someone please explain UGA always getting ranked in the top 10-15 every year, and then going 8-4? Its almost as bad as when ND was ranked in the top 10 every year and then petered out to 9-3 or 8-4 as well. Is UGA the new ND?

And didn't have to play any of Bama, LSU or Arky.
Same as this year.
They lost to Boise in ATL last year. They lost to the Cocks.
But they had quality wins against…………… absolutely no one. UF sucked. Vols sucked.
I don't know who Richt is sleeping with in the SEC scheduling dept, but he is getting his money's worth.
I hope Mizzou exposes them for the frauds they are early in the season.

I have no problem with us at #3 right now, especially with the loss of Kennard. I think Oregon should be over Oklahoma though, but whatever. Michigan at #8 and Notre Dame at 23 is suspect, as Michigan opens with Bama, so that gives Bama/sec more credibility, and it should be of note that the true experts currently have Notre Dame as a 2.5 point favorite over Michigan.

Texas keeps getting ranked when they don't deserve it too. They went 5-7 and 8-5 the last two years. I don't know what they have coming back, but they were constantly ranked in the BCS last year, besides the fact that they were 6-4, 7-4, and 7-5 at the end of the season.
