To me, the fact that the coaches vote at all is a joke. Talk about the biggest conflict of interest in the history of the world. That would be akin to a murder trial having family members of the accused on the jury. The sooner the 4-team playoff and "selection committee" come, then better.

What an absolute joke.
I have no problem with LSU at 1.
Bama at 2 is too high given their losses on D, and UGA @6 is an absolute joke. They beat NO ONE last year, and lost in ATL to Boise.
The biggest thing they have going for them this year is their schedule.
This is already set up for another incestuous SEC gangbang unless SC can go unbeaten and put an end to this madness.
If Bama's only loss is to LSU, or UGA goes undefeated until the SEC title game, USC will have to be unbeaten to make the NC.
I've been assuming that would be the case for a while, but seeing these rankings, the SEC SEC SEC bias is even worse than I thought it would be this year.

This is perfect! Since the #3 ranking is lower than any other preseason poll so far, it might actually put a chip on the teams collective shoulder.

And Stanford comes in at #18. With games vs. Duke and SJ St. not sure how much they can move up before we play them. Was also hoping that Utah would be ranked and looks like Washington just missed out on the #25 spot. Hopefully Oregon can move into a top 3 or 4 slot before we play them in November...
Also, looks like CLK is a voter (see bottom of page on attached link) as well as 5 other Pac-12 coaches: Mike Leach, Washington State Mike Riley, Oregon State Rich Rodriguez, Arizona Steve Sarkisian, Washington Jeff Tedford, California
