  • Besides #9, this football team has been nothing but embarassing and pathetic on & off the field.

Seriously...off the field????? I'll take the off the field accomplishments of this team over any on the field play of any program in the country.

Your post sucks on every level I can think of.

  • First it was the Joe McKnight BS right before the game against Hawaii, then Scott Wolf being thrown out of practice for less than a day, then the 29 second press conference, then the jersey number circus, and now deflating balls? Other than the 3 losses, am I missing anything?

"USC said the student manager, who was not identified, acknowledged he deflated the balls of his own accord after they had been checked by officials before the game."

    Hmmm. right

Gotta love where the "story" was published too...with no author whatsoever.

This stuff is minor compared to what's going on at UNC and Miami, interesting how the media moves from one topic to the next based on reader attention spans. "Alright, I've read enough about Miami, what's this about jersey #'s?"

  • @GlassesRef: Dear student managers: Please stop deflating my footballs and putting gum on my chair. Thank you.

It cause ever fanbase besides SC hates Kiffin. So the media goes after him whenever they get a chance.

Let's be real, someone else knew about this FOR SURE.

Maybe not Kiffin, but this kid is not working on his own.

Dukeb, you say every other fanbase hates Kiffin. You're right about that. What I can't understand is why the Trojan fans still support the guy, he's a disgrace to the program.

All of this is on Kiffin, the deflated balls, the jersey numbers, the lying, the public outbursts, the discipline issues, the losing.

  • Having both thrown and caught an underinflated football, I fail to see what advantage is gained by this.

This just does not seem like a big deal to me. I mean, its not like SC grew the grass too long and DAT blew out his knee, right? I mean, that would be front page news.

  • Im thinking Haden and Kiffin need to comment on this...the "cheating" issues are starting to add up and the sum isnt pretty.

I'm with you on that. I've never liked throwing footballs that are under inflated.

Cause Kiffin still the coach of the program. Kind of like your fanbase continues to defend Chip that he wasn't buying recruit in Texas

  • the fact the PAC 12 and SC made the decision to go public on this (and throw a GA under the bus) for something as trivial as this is mind boggling.

this should have been handled internally at the PAC 12. this would never happen at another major conference.

    what an absolute joke.

I disagree with your analogy. First of all, I don't think allowing the grass to grow tall is against the rules. Your analogy may be a little closer if the refs inspected ND's field, ok'd the length of the grass and then the Notre Dame student managers quickly poured Miracle Grow on the turf.

This is a distraction this team doesn't need and based on Lane's track record, both real and the misconceptions about him, he is not going to get the benefit of the doubt.

You can disagree with my analogy.

You know who won't disagree with it? Desmond Reed.

Throwing underinflated balls make the ball heavier in the air. Why would someone at USC want to slow down the USC's WR's? I could understand the concept with the balls that are used for kicking and punting because that can help manipulate the trajectory, flight, and bounce of the ball.

Not only that..vs a team known for speed? Anyway, it's against the rules bottom line.

Maybe uncle phil paid the manager off...we can be just as ridiculous as the posts on duckcesspool.
