Besides #9, this football team has been nothing but embarassing and pathetic on & off the field.

Let's be real, someone else knew about this FOR SURE.
Maybe not Kiffin, but this kid is not working on his own.
Dukeb, you say every other fanbase hates Kiffin. You're right about that. What I can't understand is why the Trojan fans still support the guy, he's a disgrace to the program.
All of this is on Kiffin, the deflated balls, the jersey numbers, the lying, the public outbursts, the discipline issues, the losing.

Having both thrown and caught an underinflated football, I fail to see what advantage is gained by this.
This just does not seem like a big deal to me. I mean, its not like SC grew the grass too long and DAT blew out his knee, right? I mean, that would be front page news.

I disagree with your analogy. First of all, I don't think allowing the grass to grow tall is against the rules. Your analogy may be a little closer if the refs inspected ND's field, ok'd the length of the grass and then the Notre Dame student managers quickly poured Miracle Grow on the turf.
This is a distraction this team doesn't need and based on Lane's track record, both real and the misconceptions about him, he is not going to get the benefit of the doubt.

Throwing underinflated balls make the ball heavier in the air. Why would someone at USC want to slow down the USC's WR's? I could understand the concept with the balls that are used for kicking and punting because that can help manipulate the trajectory, flight, and bounce of the ball.
