How is Aundrey Walker doing at LT? Does he look like the answer to that position? How does he look compared to Graf? Does he still have issues firing out of his stance, like it was reported last year?

Aundrey Walker looks like he's doing a pretty good job. I don't know if he's the "answer", but he looks like he's capable of playing on the left. I would have to say that Aundrey and Kevin are even right now. I haven't noticed Walker having a problem getting out of his stance. I think the problems with pressure shows how well the defensive ends are performing.

Really short scrimmage, but the punters and kickers worked out the entire practice. Just no returns today.

Yeah the special team guys did some work....
They did a punt return drill. I believe Robey, Morgan, and McNeal where the 3 guys returning punts. There wasn't a lot of muffed punt returns.
Negrete can punt the ball over 50 yards. Heidari makes almost every field goal over 40 yards..... from the sideline.
Every time I report on the special teams, I feel like I say: "A+, they can kick the sh!t out of the ball"

That's awesome that Eric Berry was at the practice. If I remember correctly he seemed the most vocal about backing Lane Kiffin leaving Tennessee for USC. Major respect from him.
How did Scott Starr do? Also any word from the recruits?

If all goes well in 2012, hopefully Negrete will be relegated to sideline cheerleader for most of the game and Heidari will just have to kick off and kick PATs...

We can't talk to the recruits til they leave SC. We will talk to all of the guys who will not be at SC again tomorrow at the Nike Camp. We will talk to Hutchings, Goodman, Mathis, Willis and Hawkins.....and possibly Lacy after the Nike Camp.

Thanks Chris. It sounds like he is where a true Soph LT candidate should be, in his first spring with the team. Glad to hear he's not getting smoked out there. I really hope he continues to progress and locks down that spot for at least the next couple of years.

I would be very very pleased is SC landed the kids listen in this post that would one hell of a defensive recruiting class right there... SC is doing a great job doing their homework... selecting their targets and working hard to make them part of the Trojan Family!
