USC Offers Local 3-Star OL

  • Nico Falah just informed me that he got offered by USC today. Big offer for Nico.

He's a kid that i was really impressed with when watching him workout at B2G.

I was expecting an offer to him soon. We have to lock down the top OL in Cali. Hope one Cali OL gets an offer as well.

  • I asked Nico where the offer from USC puts the Trojans on his list. His response (via text): "Really high"

    Falah Talks About USC Interest

Falah has 11 early offers and will certainly have many more before his senior season.

Three star? Another Cali prospect underrated by 247.

He's got 3-star film IMO. After seeing him in person though and seeing the way he can move athletically, there is a very good chance that he gets a rankings boost.

Who else do we have underrated?

  • Barton too soon to tell this year but I think tuerk seymour cochran Stanley dj foster and the center who went to Oregon state are a few guys you underated last year. I would also include rodgers on thatist. Typically the western kids get the short end of the stick versus the southeastern kids. It tends to show up at the army game where western kids see their stock rise considerably.

Winning the academic award in the SEC is sort of like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you are still a retard.

one would think with klemm being such a hot shot recruiter, Falah would of committed to the bRUINs by now. If USC is anywhere near ugla in Falah's recruitment at this point then klemm's reputation has been overexaggerated considering nico is both a bRUIN legacy recruit and he's their #1 OL recruit this year.

He is used to recruiting against the tulsa's of the world. Let's see how he does against the big boys.

Falah really wanted this offer from USC, I know that much.

Also, Nico told me his dad going to UCLA will have no bearing on his decision.

  • NE how is Klemm a hot shot.. Did we get every player that we wanted last year, NO. Dont get the big head. The kid is enjoying the process.. If he goes to USC i will be happy if he doesnt I will be happy as well because he is a good kid and is going to go to school that best fits him.

No USC didn't get every player we wanted last year, but we're not talking about a recruit like ellis mccarthy or kyle murphy here. We're talking about a bRUIN legacy recruit, that's the #1 OL recruit (a position of dire need) on their board. Last year, if either mccarthy or murphy, had been a legacy recruit and we still missed them... than you'd have a point. But they weren't, in fact mccarthy's family pushed him in the other direction and from some accounts so did Murphy's parents.

I'm not saying that he wont end up over in westwood or he'll be a Trojan because recruiting is fluid. I just couldn't imagine a local USC legacy recruit getting the full court press by USC, yet (from most accounts) his most coveted offer and the offer that excites him comes from ucla. LOL, but maybe its just me.

Klem should of had him at least publicly stating ugla as his top school...of course, that's my opinion.

Goodman's stock is rising after several of us have seen him over the last couple of weeks. Mathis may be a little low but I don't think he's a 4-star. Just my opinion.

We had Seymour the #3 CB in the country and No. 46 overall. Higher than everybody else. Not high enough?

Tuerk may have been too low but we still had him as the No. 8 OT in the country.

We had Ronnie Stanley slightly higher than most at the No. 15 Ot in the country.

Our numbers in the Top247 are pretty comparable to the other big 3 states if I recall correctly.

We will have more updates to california as soon as we have some technical issues with our ranking tool sorted out. It's actually killing me because there are several guys that I want to bump to 4-stars that we just can't make the change with right now because of some technical issues.

Also, California is a much tougher state to evaluate early than Florida and texas (especially Florida). Because Florida is so heavily recruited, it's easy to find the studs, they'll have 20 offers before their junior season is done. In California, the offers are much slower to come so it takes longer to identify the elite players. Not an excuse, just a reality.

Justin Davis , John Johnson, Chris Hawkins, and Troy Williams are players who are underrated. It is early but I think each could be ranked higher.

Good. I hope it is not another Ellis McCarthy situation.

  • Did Kevon Seymour move up late? I thought Tee Shepard was ahead of him on here?

Not sure why you guys care about who's underrated, I thought only the coaches' rankings matter?

Yes, they have him very high. I don't see him that high. Have a hard time seeing No. 3 OT in the country based on his film and on his body but I do think we have him too low after I saw him move around in person. He'll move up in our rankings soon but he won't move up to NO. 3 overall.

Yes. Seen him in a camp in person, seen him in a game on film and seen him in highlights on film. Think he's a 3-star. That opinion could definitley change as I see more though.
