Desperate, but smart. UCLA basketball did a similar thing hiring an AAU coach from the Atlanta Celtics (one of the top AAU programs) to get two players for Georgia.

Wow that's a bold statement for a guy you know nothing about.. Courtney is an up and coming coach. Some of y'all kill me with all this hate.. I guess u hate Zach, Jordan and Marcus Martin who he has coached in the past too

My bad.. It just so hard to get in coaching and people from the outside just don't understand. To coach in college or pros u have to pay your dues. Most coachs do this for the love of game and the player not the money. I am proud of Courtney and wish him the best.

Is he going to be a GA or just an admin assistant? I know they passed some new GA rules that make it even tougher to get in.

I think he would have been a good hire. Can never have too much help and as G.A. connections to a D1 factory like B2G are probably worth more than G.A's in the film room...

happens all the time.. but .. it takes more than adding guys like this to a team to make the bRuins better.. you still have to develop these kids... Nico Falah does not impress me at a tackle spot .. I believe he's more of a guard.. and i would much rather have Rogers than Falah.

I Beg to differ... If Nicco goes to UCLA it will not be because a coach that he trained is there.. Coachs leave schools all the time. This is not basketball one player does not change your team maybe a QB but even then. I think Nicco father being a UCLA grad is a big uphill battle, but we have seen in the past with Marc Tyler that kids are going to choose where they want to go.

At the end of the day, every school is allowed to have 10 coaches that can recruit and coach players. GA's and S&C coaches can't go there.

I'll take USC's 10 coaches over UCLA's 10 coaches any day... Especially since the USC brand sells itself.

11.7.2 Football Bowl Subdivision - There shall be a limit of one head coach, nine assistant coaches and two graduate assistant coaches who may be employed by an institution in bowl subdivision football.

11.7.2.1 Exceptions to Number Limits FBS - No individual other than coaches designated to fill the coaching categories set forth in Bylaw 11.7.2 may participate in any manner in the coaching of the intercollegiate team of a member institution during any football game, practice or other organized activity, with the following exceptions:

11.7.2.1.1 Weight or Strength Coach FBS - A weight (strength and conditioning) coach may conduct flexibility, warm-up and physical conditioning activities prior to any game and prior to or during any practice or other organized activities without being included in the limitations on number of coaches.

What you're saying has some truth for off campus recruiting, but I believe anyone associated with the football staff may recruit a player once on campus and having someone you know at a school helps create a comfort level for a player.

You misread or misunderstood what I said. I said if UCLA hiring a trainer is the reason he goes to UCLA, so be it. I didn't say that was going to be the reason.

Doesn't matter. CLFK is reaffirming USC as a TRUE NATIONAL RECRUITING POWERHOUSE.

Florida? Built a pipeline...
Texas? He'll take who he wants!
Michigan and ND territory? He'll take who he wants from there too.

This coaching staff is the best in the country and we are very blessed to have them recruiting for us.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Morgan a couple of months ago. He seems like a hell of a coach and he's a very nice guy. I'm sure he'll be a great addition to UCLA's staff.

I dont think that the relationships between 7 on 7 coaches and players decide where a player is going to go to school. Nico has to decide and he'll get a great education either way.... Which is all that matters. If he wants to come to USC, that's great, but if he doesn't, USC'll just sign another elite left tackle, no big deal.
