We're not pigs.
We're more like lions. It's a predator/ prey response.
We're just guys- it's in our nature to be attracted to the healthiest (in our view) potential partners we see.
One million years of human biological evolution can't be wiped away by two thousand years of social institutions (governments, churches, etc) pushing monogamy.

We are biologically wired to keep the species going, and our body systems are about 990,000 years behind social changes.
Our bodies are still geared to hunt game on the Serengeti plain, defend against Saber Tooth Tigers attacks, and reproduce as widely and as often as possible.
Our bodies have no idea that Saber Tooth Tigers are extinct or that the worst diseases in human history have been mostly cured, much less what the concept of a monogamous relationship is.
So we men are in a constant battle in modern society between what our brains and societal norms tell us we should be doing, and what our bodies (and especially certain body systems) tell us what we should be doing.
As you can see, this is a subject of great interest to me. It's a huge conflict in modern culture.
What all that BS boiled down to was....you guys are still pigs; have not evolved at the rate women have, and you'll believe anything we tell you when you're "in heat" - a perpetual state.
But, that's OK, you guys are much easier to control in your primitive state.
