Silas redd visiting USC

  • I get already that we need a another rb, but don't act like redd is the second coming, because who knows what will happen latter on and since this is like a high rated propect and gaining hype, it is still a bust or greatness period...but a stranger version of that for me anywas.

But hopefully, he will give the team what it needs and give it has all and that will lead to a grand time. When he gets that ring for the 2013 NC game in miami their will be nothing but smiles on all fronts.

Last note: I never and Will never Question the staff, when they are doing whats best for usc and haven't since the petey years...Fighton!!

    Second coming? Maybe not.

But he still gained over 1200 yard as a sophomore, on a team with no pass offense, in a major conference.

    I'll take it any day.

  • Ha. ESPN just played a highlight reel from Big-10 Media Days of coaches - for the most part - saying they won't be recruiting Penn State players. As soon as the clips ended, the woman goes "unlike other coaches, USC's Lane Kiffin has wasted no time courting Redd, hoping he'll make the move to L.A. to suit up for the Trojans." Maybe that's because Redd has no interest going anywhere else...?

Not taking sides here - but no one I know (and I am working on a second graduate degree from SC) calles CPC "Petey".

It's always used in a derogatory sense.

USC football: Quarterback Max Wittek recruits Silas Redd

USC quarterback Max Wittek, who grew up in Connecticut and played Pop Warner football with Silas Redd, called the Penn State running back this week to encourage him to join the Trojans.

Petros does not know a sh!t.

Alex, before you rip Petros understand his positon coach was Kennedy Pola (Now known as Polamalu), so I wouldn't hold it passed him that he may know something. I don't get the hate for Petros. I think he speaks his mind and is paid to be himself. I always remember when he said MJD would be a better pro in the NFL than Bush and was ripped by SC fans but in hindsight he was right. He also said Matt Leinart was not mature enough to be a great QB in the NFL that he was too arrogant and seemd Petros is right about that too. I like that he is not a homer and gives his honest opinon and when SC deserves praise he gives it to them. And this talk that he is not a true trojan is ridiculos. The guy pretty much gave his one of his legs to USC while playing! I think that he was on down USC teams and did not experience the fruits of victory!

Are you implying KP is feeding Penguin info?

    BS.

PP has become a gadfly around Heritage Hall who makes a habit of spreading bad info that's generally derogatory or uncomplimentary of SC.

Hektor, to each their own! Try not to take it so personal! You sound like my ol'lady! The sound of Petros voice turns her into a complete b!tch! LOL

+ 1 for you for the Penguin reference! I always thought he looked like Rosie O'Donnel with a stretched face!

Wait. You're dodging the question. This has nothing to do with "to each their own".

Are you implying Kennedy Polamalu is feeding Petros information on our recruitment of Silas Redd?

    "Yes", or "No".

Do you honestly believe that Matt has failed to become a great NFL QB because he was not "mature enough" and "too arrogant"?

First off, how many college QB's become "Great NFL QB's"? Are the rest 'not mature enough' and 'too arrogant'...or simply not as talented as the great ones?

Matt has faced some unlucky breaks along the way - and clearly contributed to some of his own perception problems - but the reason(s) for him not making it big could hardly be attributed to reasons Petros "guessed" (hoped) he would fail.

My friends and I heard Petros pronounce 'Mbah A Moute' with some very racist 'clicks' inserted in there. So bad.

Hector your reading way to much into this! Could KP give Petros a hint about someone or something happening off the record? Yeah, he can! Just like Scott gets his info from sources in the know. Now I don't know if you play/played or work/worked for SC and developed relationship like Petros has over the years, if you had I may be inclined to listen to your perspective a little more! Does that answer your question or do you want this pissing contest to continue?

Brdcstr1, first and foremost I think Matt is the greatest college football QB to ever step foot on the field. Do I root against the guy? Never I still wish he can catch that fire and take a team to the top! For what ever reason he has not panned out do to injury, coaching chahges, etc. Is Petros right in the fact that he is not a great NFL QB, I don't know! The NFL is all about timing. Perfect fit, system, team, teammates, etc.

Please explain PP going after Barkley before he even got to the USC campus.

PP dogged Barkley in personal ways from Day 1 and only stuck a cork in his piehole finally because he (Petros) was the only guy not seeing Matt had grown into the position with dignity, authority and class. Petros still has a hard time throwing Barkley a bone.

IMO, PP is an embarrassment as a Trojan and as a previous team captain.

    ^^^^^This is spot on!

For some odd reason PP has had a great deal of trouble with the concept of Matt Barkley, even after Matt's talent and skill level reached the hype he garnered before his college career. It does appear as though he is hesitant to give Matt his due...not sure why that is.

LOL. Jesus Christ Hektor I did not realize I was Petros Papadakis fan club president/spokesman. LOL. I think I get it, you hate the f#*king guy! I just find him amusing since day one! I was 20 yrs old when I first started to listen him and have to admit I listen to his radio show maybe once a month. So if it makes you feel better you won this argument! Now let's shake are dicks out and put them away. This pissing contest is FINALLY over! Fight On HEKTOR I needed this after a long day!
