SS, question about 247 sports content sharing?

  • Is there a way to get articles published by other writers about USC prospects linked to the USC site?

The Oregon writer just did an article on AA that all VIPS can read (he got facts wrong and painted USC in a bad light though), however, the only reason I knew about the article was because I saw him tweet it.

Do you really care what duckies have to say? Really???

We get enough of the ignorant quackers on this board, and if you visit other sites in CFB, they're on those sites embarrassing the conference with their little chest pounding and ignorance. Guess losing their bowl games on the biggest stage hasn't taught them any humility.

There will come a time when we are sharing articles.

I am not talking about the posters, but about the site publishers.

Justin Hopkins posts a lot of articles on West Coast players that might not be 95% about USC, but contain a detail or two about USC and the only way to find those articles right now is by visiting other sites or seeing them published on the main 247 site.

If you have read it, what facts did he get wrong? How did he paint SC in a bad light? I'm really not trying to pick a fight, but the article is essentially 98% about AA and Oregon and says VERY little regarding SC. I'd copy the short snippet regarding SC to let you know nothing negative was said, but I don't want to disrespect JH and his desire for the article to be kept to the UO board.

Thx Scott...I've wondered about this for a while. Why then are articles on separate sites not readable by VIP members? Is this a glitch? Something that hasn't been fixed as 247sports has grown? Or am I misunderstanding you and we still need to pay to be VIP for each individual school's site? Thx

The original version of the article said Armond was a freshman at USC and made it seem like Armond was unhappy at USC without mentioning the reason, which only tells half the story.

It also didn't include the quote that TW has now posted.

Keep in mind that Hopkins is a young guy and probably let's his green and yellow glasses paint the picture for that site's readers. Ah...youthful exuberance.

AH...TMSC, I see that alluded to in the comments, but the article must have been amended prior to my actually reading it. Now there is no mention of his Armond's year, and only states that thereare some underlying issues regarding his current medical status. I see what you are pointing out though I think the changes reflect the facts without any issues...no?

They're new to anything called "winning", much less "winning with class" and leaving it to others to send the praises.

They're like every SEC fan in the country, no better, and a lot worse than some.
