  • So, being a long time duck fans we have come accustom to disappointment over the years, but the higher the highs, the lower the lows. This last loss to the trees was brutal and being at the game made it worse. They outplayed us, which is really troubling. So, basically I have never, ever been a bigger fan of USC than I am this week. Back in the Carrol days I had quite a bit of respect for the product you consistently put on the field, but hated it when you won all the time. I'm not overly impressed with Lane and my personal opinion is you will get a different coach in the next couple of years who will restore the honor with which you won in the past. Having said this, I hope the little guy can pull a rabbit out of his hat this weekend against the domers, not only for the ducks, but also because the best player in the NCAA is Lee and it isn't even close.

  • So is it basically a sure thing that Oregon will jump to #2 if both Notre Dame and Florida lose? Because I can see both happening. I think Florida State will beat up on Florida, because UF is overrated and I think the Seminoles are underrated (only loss was by 1 point, every other game they won handily). Then, of course, I obviously have confidence in USC.

    I wish that KSU and FSU could somehow play in the title game. I would settle for UGA, if I had to choose an SEC team though. They bother me the least.

    OP seems like a decent guy, but this is JMO.

    This. We've always had to work twice as hard, without a strong conference backing us for almost a century that USC has been a NATIONAL powerhouse. USC had to be better, win more and consistently carry the conference banner. We did more for it, than it did for us...

    Everyone has to stand on their own, win their own battles without looking for help elsewhere. That is the Trojan way.

    Yes, seems like a decent poster but where were they when Sanctions were being handed down? Basically the whole PAC jumped on the death to SC bandwagon and some still think we got off easy.

    I agree with you, if we could do this without doing anything for other teams I would be happier. Unfortunately, the team played so poorly versus fucla that I don't expect much against ND.
