If you were a Junior or Senior playing for no bowl games the last these past two previous years you might have a different view. All of these accolades we are praising him for technically never even counted. So all he did was put an asterisk next to things that are considered "accomplishments" and hurt the current forecast of the USC team with greed. If it wasn't for Haden and Kiffin we would be in way worse shape.
What is one of USC's biggest concerns towards a NC run? Depth. Look at the root of why we don't have 85 players.

LMAO at you pathetic attempt at Jamaican Bad words.
I understand that Reggie will always be a favorite.
He will always be a favorite of people with no sense of honor, no sense of right and wrong, no ability to see the big picture,
I laugh at all you Reggie Jock Sniffers. You care so much about him and he could not care less if you live or die.
Like I said.
Pathetic.

You go girl!
You can tell quite a bit about the character and convictions of people when RB comes up in a thread. We come to this site because of our passion for USC but as you've succinctly conveyed, being a USC fan doesn't preclude one from being an a**hole.

RB and his family were at all our combined tailgate after the games, almost the entire time he was at SC....he and his family sat there, ate the food we prepared in celebration. Lots of families of the players wore their kids jerseys - without the name in the back, which is part of our tradition. Most wore just USC gear proudly.
Not RBs family, who hung everything they could wear that had the RB name...RB mom...RB dad..etc, I'm surprised they didn't bring a dog wearing a personalized RB jersey. It was always about them. RB sat there quietly, hardly interacting with anyone, save Matt. Everyone, and I mean, everyone was creeped out and repulsed by Lamar, who always looked like he was smelling sh*t. Always dressed in quality clothing...little did we know what they were pulling off. Even if it was all Lamar's doing, RB is the one who step foot on campus, exposed to the Trojan sense of family and unity..he should have known better.
We clearly had kids on the team who were poor...very poor, and that was one of the reasons Troy P. aunt and uncle started it all. We had quite a number of kids on our teams during those years that frankly, you couldn't blame for taking money outside...family members very sick, and kids who barely had enough to eat. But, those weren't the ones that did it. I guess that's what pisses me off more than anything...they (RB and his scumbag family) sat right there with us, smiling and eating...and taking, while all those other kids could have taken outside money just to survive, and live half way decently.
You can't tell me that that extensive anal probe by the NCAA didn't uncover more because they overlooked something....
I'm done.

So Reggie should have not attended the tailgates? Or he should have said to everyone there 'hey my dad/I are on the take, let's eat'?? Because Lamar is a creep Reggie is somehow to blame?
Do you feel the same way about Eric Wright (and perhaps if you were close to the team the others that were involved with that fiasco), because it is a safe bet he was basically the fall guy. What about Winston Justice or Vehikite? Or what about the Simmons kid who was a former commit and is currently locked up? Or what about handful or athletes that were arrested on various charges but those charges were dropped for various reasons? Or have you arbitrarily decided that being convicted of a felony or multiple crimes is somehow less culpable than what Reggie/his family did?
Reggie never beat his girlfriend while he was at SC. He never was arrested or convicted of a crime. He never had a problem in the class room (quite the opposite he was honor role student). Nor was Reggie ever a problem at practice. Unlike some others he was one of the hardest workers and helped set the tone and establish a culture that would be vital to the teams work ethic.
To be clear, Reggie is far from a saint in my book. I am incredibly disappointed in his actions regarding both the infractions that were committed by him and his family when he was at USC and his actions since. However, I just do not agree that Reggie is the anti-christ of USC of football or that he should be completely eviscerated from the history the program?

Dude, great damn post. But you're wasting your time.
Since the NCAA had a hard on for us and used Reg as a reason to fvck us, you're still only going to get people pissed at Reg and Reg only. Funny how the tennis player and Mayo never get threats of road rage for their LOIC contribution, but it's nicey nice for them because they said they were sorry, Lmao. Reg jacked up big time, seeing all the dudes on the take it's comedy the hate he gets for doing what a ton of cats have been doing all around college football. They just happened to get away with it, oops, I mean they happen to get less punished by those fair minded folks. If only Reggie said that he didn't know his dad was on the take, or say he'll pay the money back and miss 5 games before bolting to the pro's. Then it would all be ok, Reg could walk the streets safe and we'd have our scholarships back. Should we have got'n hit and Reg punished in some form, yes, but I am not overexerting my hate for Reg because the NCAA decided to go the extra lengths to screw us..
RB was a bad ass football player, probably one of the greatest ever. Easily one of the greatest in my lifetime. I root/rooted for the football player, I ain't trying to be his friend though so I am not butt hurt about him or his family's personalities.

The rules of amateur status are older than the time of leather helmets and Jim Thorpe...those rules are made very clear to players and their parents.
Also made very clear, the repercussions that not only come down on the individual player, but the entire program when they compromise their amateur status. RB and his family just did not give a damn.

you ever hear he who lives in a glass house should'nt throw stones? I hope that's not true for you. ask yourself WWJD or what would you do in RB5 SHOES? everyone is not equipped to handle such early success especially when your not privy to many things growing up ,it's hard to hold your water sometimes ,at least it was for his parents, I would like to see u tell your parents not to take the money when the bills are due ,that is if you even know what your parents are up to 100-200 miles away, hell I don't know everthing my parents do financially to stay afloat especially in RB5 case when your trying to focus and ball out for the Ring.JMO
