Not a problem at all. I gave a civil - and what I felt was a reasoned - response to a poster who asked about our feelings if Lane pulls a 'ship from a walk-on.

Right after submitting it, another poster responded "I need a shower after reading that"

I simply responded "Go ahead. Sandusky's locked up... You're finally safe".

I was banned until my birthday 12-12-2020, so I will be waiting with bated breath for 8 1/2 years to revisit that Penn State board.

It appears they can give it, but don't do too well taking it from people who respond in a like manner.

4 or 5 posters didn't find that funny at all, and one even called for me to be banned. You can find out if you're banned by trying to go back over there again. A message will either be awaiting you to inform you of the ban, or you'll be able to post freely.

Another poster ripped Kiffin for not "having the balls" to call O'Brien **personally** to inform him of his intent to recruit Redd.

I quipped "The irony is rich that a Penn State fan would claim that someone didn't have the balls to pick up the telephone and call the proper authorities."

I don't get the feeling I'll be on many of their Christmas card lists this year.

Ever since we played them a few years ago in the bowl game, I've found many in their fan base to be arrogant to the point of being nearly intolerable.

All of this lofty talk about never having a major violation, USC academics and football players not graduating blah blah blah... Really came back to bite them in the azz in a major way.

Talk about receiving their comeuppance. That fan base got a full measure all-in-one dosage.

Not banned yet, but when I tried to separate fact from fiction, especially about Kiff, it was thrown back to me and intimated by one poster as being a PSU insider and buddies with all the SIDs who had a universal dislike of Kiff, and would not even accept the televised meeting Kiff had with the Vol football team, nor that TN had no major violations there as compared to GA and FL during the same time frame, or the endorsements by Johnny Majors and TN players.

This is after I had posted good luck and empathy posts and the feelings they were going through, when they started spewing absolute trash. I even told them I was a USC homer as a preface....Not going to anymore boards of other teams. Life is too short

Look...they are still reeling from the sanctions (they did NOT expect what they got), they get hit with the worst scandal in college history, they learn their hero/grandpa had clay feet...and their whole world is falling down around them.

We go over, offer our sympathies and good wishes, they're beginning to feel a little better..then our coaches fly to the home of their star player, a player they thought was Penn State personified. Human nature to lash out.

So many of them are living in a complete fantasy world, though, where they refuse to admit JoPa aided and abetted the repeated rape of young boys by his good friend for 14 years.

I find it disgusting that they defend someone who helped a child rapist, and then turn around and comment on CLK's morals for having the gall to recruit a player that the NCAA says is completely within CLK's rights to recruit.

After reading that thread, it's clear they are a bunch of low-lifes for the most part, with a few reasonable exceptions.

But as a group, they're making the quacker fans look rational, and we all know that is saying a lot.
