Good call on the Paterno thing. I haven't been on the Penn State boards, but right now there are like 3 USC threads on tBB and in each one of them there is this same poster who posts how much he hates Lane, he's a scumbag, etc. The dude isn't even a PSU or Tennessee fan. I don't get why so many people hate Lane. He left Tennessee for his dream job, a move I think most people would have done themselves. Other than that, what's so bad about him? He supposedly had some chicks go down on potential recruits? So...? The Big-10 commissioner himself accepted a little play from a chick in exchange for not investigating an Ole Miss player. There's also the whole "talk shit like Lane Kiffin" (-Lil Wayne) from his Tennessee days. Well, he had to do something to get people talking about that program again.

I didn't even try to make them think that CLK is a great guy. I just kept shooting down all of their ridiculous BS about CLK.

I don't care if people have opinions, but like everyone else, they don't even try to research anything they feel like talking shit about.

They tried to turn CLK giving some schollies to walk-ons for a year, into a bad thing. That thread started making my head hurt with all of the stupidity.

There were a few sensible ones that tried to bring some perspective to their mates, but some of them were making no sense.

It also doesn't help that on CFL, when speaking about coaches "invading" the PSU campus, all they showed was clips of CLK. Crazy, considering that he never set foot on that campus to speak to any players.

The ones that are sour won't even admit that if it wasn't Redd, they wouldn't even care.

You know we're back when fan bases look for any reason to use our coach as a punching bag...even when there are a few other things going on with their team right now...

It is unfucking-believeable that these jackasses are talking about CLK's low morals while simultaneously crying about their school getting punished because the coach enabled and covered up his friend raping young boys over and over again for 14 years.

It's disgusting. No wonder PSU fans are considered by many to be a cult.

I haven't posted over there because I think the whole program should have been burned to the ground, and since a lot of SC fans are over there engaging in respectful conversations, I don't want to make it harder for the SC fans to do so.

I don't post on the PSU sites because, like traveler, I would have liked to see a sanction whereby their university was ordered to relocate to Ulan Bator. Indefinitely.
