  • I think Arizona will be rising. WSU and USC for sure. What does Tedford have to sell these days? Cetainly isn't the QB guru he once was.

  • Agreed with your analysis for the most part, but can Colorado really fall any further than they currently are?! I might move them up to static, though with the caveat their static is being in the basement. I also might flip flop Utah and Washington as the Huskies haven't convinced me they're going to continue to rise past middle of the pack and Utah could be a dangerous team this year. Thus mine might look like...

    Rising:

    USC
    Utah
    Washington St.

    Static:

    Oregon
Stanford (with above avg. QB play)
    UCLA
    Washington

    FALLING:

    Oregon State
    Cal
    Arizona State
    Arizona

    I'VE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP
    Colorado

  • Rising
    USC
    Washington
    Washington St
    Utah
    ucla
Stanford not from their past 2 years, but from their past 6

    Static
Colorado (was terrible, will continue to be terrible)
    Oregon
    Cal

    Falling
    Oregon St
    Arizona
    Arizona St

    Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

  • As much as it pains me Oregon did just when a Rose Bowl so they at least deserve to be in the Rising category, Washington St should be static considering all they have is a new coaching staff. Not sure how you can put ASU and AU in falling when just like Wazzu they just had coaching changes with questionably good coaches (not really Todd Graham) but yea.

WSU is returning 2 QB's with starting experience and the Arizona schools are returning none. Also WSU is rising from a much lower spot.

  • Washington St. scares me with that offensive talent and mike leech, The north is not a Oregon lock like people seem to think, I'm not saying Washington St will win the north but I wont be surprised if they beat Oregon

They will need to score 60 to beat Oregon

I agree they will need to score alot to win, they have the talent and the coach to do it remember last year it was a close game before Oregon pulled away in 2 half

They just might though. Experienced QB with a stud receiver in a pass heavy offense AND at home the week before a possible big game against Washington. Has the makings of a possible upset.

An Oregon Duck here. I come in peace.

Washington State is definately one of the games that concerns me the most. Jeff Tuel could put up some insane numbers with Marquess Wilson and the other receivers he has in Leach's wide open offense.

WSU has played Oregon tough the past couple years and this will be the first road game for our new quarterback.

The Cougars could definately surprise some people.

  • Please help me understand why everyone is on WSU's jock?
They have had only one non-losing season in the past 8 seasons (that being a 6-6 2006 season).
They haven't been to a bowl game since 2003.
They've won a combined 9 games in the last 4 seasons combined!

Just because they've added Mike Leach doesn't mean they are going back to their Mike Price "glory days".

Wake me up when WSU actually has a winning record. Until then, I'll consider them no better than static....

Senior QB that has shown he is more than capable.

A Top end WR who would be getting AA attention if he played anywhere besides Pullman.

A decent to good running game.

A head coach who knows how to get the most out of his kids.

If they play any type of decent defense they will beat a team or two that they should not.

Just because they added mike leech wow the guy is a proven winner, wins with less talent, makes every quarterback he's had look like a college football hall of famer, offensive genius until he shows me otherwise I have alot of respect for the guy for he can do

Well I thought Washington State was on the right path even with a not-so-good coach in Wulf. Adding Leach makes the offense even more explosive. Also they had chances to beat UCLA and Utah last year, making them bowl eligible if they did, and were actually competitive against Oregon. And this was with having a terrible D and Jeff Tuel injured.
