So far, the Nzaa did decide that it was absolute rubbish. But only for LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M, who in some cases had a longer relationship with and had paid more money for these "recruiting sevices" Lyles "offered" than Oregon did allegedly.
But it's only been about 2 years now, eventually, the Nzaa will be able to make a decision for Oregon on the same type of thing that took a few weeks to make a decision for A&M, LSU, and the Shorthorns. Just give them some time, I'm sure in the next year or 2 those folks will come to a fair minded decision. Patience

I see message board mentality hasn't changed much since my absence from football forums. Every fan base is quick to lump other full fan bases into one convenient, and usually negative, sum, due to one or more posters from said fan base.
I am a Duck alum and a huge college football fan. I thought then, and stil believe to be true, that the NCAA sanctions and penalties on USC were total and utter BS. As a matter of fact, I did my own research and learned one of the guys in the NCAA body who investigated and handed down the penalties was an ex AD that had an axe to grind with USC. If this is even remotely true, then it speaks volumes to the corrupt nature of the NCAA.
My point is simple. Not even close to all Duck fans can be generalized in any way when it relates to their beliefs and fanaticism towards their team or other teams. I will be rooting for USC to stay healthy and beat every team they play until we meet on November 3rd. My brother has season tickets to USC this year - and he is a Duck alum, too. He lives in Orange County, and like me, is a huge college football fan. So I will be at the game, much like we were in 2010, in Los Angeles. It should be a great game.
May the best team win.
Oh, and as far as the OP, do not believe anything about what the NCAA WILL do until they actually release the information themselves. Fool us once, shame on you, fool us twice?...

Hey Addict, the ex AD who had an axe to grind was none other than the head of the COI, Paul "Pig" Dee. I was listening to 710 ESPN during the Mason and Ireland show and a gentleman called up who did not want to give his name because he was counsel for one of the big schools in the Southeast. He went on to say that the ruling against USC was extremely unjust, but that he had expected it because he knew that Paul Dee hated USC. He didn't know where the hatred stemmed from but it was there and everyone who worked or knew the man know he had a passionate hatred for all things USC.
