Are the Angels a big market team? I know they have become big spenders in recent years but they don't exactly have media camped at every corner or a rabid/win at all costs fan base so to speak.
For example, Santana has been pitching absolutely horrible for the most part this season, he finally got boo'd during his last start. No way he last half as long in a big market arena.
Agreed, I see the Angels as a big market "money" team, but actually in a small market "location". I get the entire LA of Anaheim marketing scheme, but at the end of the day most of the players probably live a pretty anonymous lifestyle in the OC.
Don't imagine Weaver or Hunter get mobbed walking down the street like would happen in Beantown or NYC.Greinke should be fine in that regards, he just needs to perform better than Santana. So really no pressure there.
