  • I hope that CLK opens up the playbook. None of that conservative crap like 2 years ago with Mustain. We have a good RB who is on fire right now and some great weapons to throw to.

    I just hope the D can step up. I can just picture Cierre Wood running all over our asses and Golson carving up our Cover 2 secondary if we don't play better....(Granted, it doesn't help when the other team is already starting in FG range either....)

    I think our defense has a realistic shot at containing their offense pretty well. Our D hasn't gotten lit up against bad and mediocre offenses this year, and ND's offense isn't all that good. At the same time, I could see them getting run over (though nothing like the Oregon game)

  • -6 seems low for a match-up between the "#1 team" and an unranked opponent - regardless the fact it's a rivalry game and the unranked team is at home.

    Imagine if Barkley was healthy, would the line be any higher than +3 for USC?

    The funny thing is that at the beginning of the season our Run Defense was pretty solid, but the past few games, we have been getting gouged! Cierre Wood is a good back and Golson is a very mobile QB who can tuck and run if needed...

    I don't remember a conservative playbook. I remember ND not respecting the pass and CLK having so much faith in Mustain that he called 3 straight passes to open the game, 2 of which should have been picked and the other a huge overthrow. With how shaky Mustain was, CLK then dialed it down and went conservative.

    I think that's just because we played the best offenses late in the season. Taylor on Stanford had a pretty good game against us

    When people think you are ignorant, try not to open your mouth and prove it. It is obvious you have not been to many football games between these two. You have lucked out this entire season. Stanford would beat you guys with their new QB. They got cheated by a bad call as it was. Now again we lose our starting QB. I would not jump to conclusion that this is going to be easy. Cornered animals can be very dangerous as they have nothing to lose.

    USC has been a cheating power for years but I have to say you guys suck these days. So if you happen to beat Notre Dame, I will admit that ND SUCKS. But in all honesty you guys have no shot at beating ND. Our front 7 are going to have a sacking competition on your new meat. No chance ! This game will be over at half time.

  • Hello SC fans from (obviously) an ND fan....

    I assume a #1 ranked ND team is "only" favored by 6 points over an unranked opponent without their starting QB for the following reasons:

    1. SC still has a ton of athleticism and speed on offense, not a great matchup for a physically strong, but still not overly quick ND defense
    2. SC is better than 7-4, and Las Vegas knows it
    3. SC has had some TOs and decisive plays go against them that had they gone the other way would have made a diference in the outcomes
    4. it's AT SC
    5. ND redshirt freshman QB with EVERYTHING to lose versus SC redshirt fresman QB with nothing to lose
    6. Not saying ND is the center of the football universe, but I have to assume knocking ND out of the national championship has to be SC's superbowl considering the dissapointing season they've had
    7. ND's lack of kicking game
