If JM was serious about this I think he'd be in for shock to find out both Nebraska and Michigan already have a DE committed as well for this class. Either he won't make up the schoolwork he needs so it won't matter, or he will and suddenly USC will be a top consideration, if they want him.

Well yeah, but at this point I feel like the board doesn't view Mathis real favorably. I haven't read anything bad about Sherit, so I'm just wondering who the better player is--character issues aside. Many used to post about Mathis being an SC lean, but since that is beginning to fade (or so it seems), I'd like to know how Sherit compares on the field, since he might be DE priority #1 now, with Fitts committed (perhaps he was priority #1 anyway, IDK).

Yeah, I should have said "interview issues." People don't seem to like some of his answers.
I know he needs to focus more time on academics.
