The NCAA ratings are usually insanely inaccurate. Barkley will be an 99, Jesse Scroggins will be a 44, John Manoogian will be an 89.
Robert Woods will be a 95, but George Farmer will be rated higher than Marqise Lee and Kyle Prater will still be on the team. Agholor will only exist in parallel dimensions.
Curtis McNeal will be 6'2" and Heidari will be black and have dreadlocks...

Instead of studying for finals I composed a hypothetical player ratings for the upcoming USC roster. I'm not going to do it for all100+ members, but the likely 70 or so that would actually be in the game. Feel free to make changes or suggestions as you see fit. Maybe I should just put everyone at 99...

Crap, I didn't even notice that you had Devian Shelton or Elijah Steen in there. Shelton needs to be knocked down to something like a 72 or deleted. Elijah Steen should be even lower than that, or deleted.
Kevon Seymour shouldn't be deleted. He was a highly ranked CB and USC's roster is low on young CBs.
I don't see the point in adding WIll Andrew or Dallas Kelley... they're no higher than third string and younger players are ahead of them (Dawson and Starr).
Deleting Chad Wheeler may be a good point. There are a lot of young OL on the roster and it would make room for someone like Tre Madden.

I guess I'm looking at it from the stand-point of someone who plays NCAA. I like all my roster positions to be fairly balanced. The MLB spot looks thin with only 2 players and CB and OL is really deep. I would drop Steen, since he is a walk-on and there are better scholarship players.
I can't wait till NCAA 2013 comes out. My favorite geeky thing to do is modify the roster with the actual names, years and dimensions of the players. Although with the bug they had about saving the default roster really tripped me up a few times.
I also did the Miami Hurricanes roster (my college team I rooted for in my youth). It's a LOT tougher to modify the roster when you don't watch the team as much or know who is really starters, etc. The USC Trojans web-site is so good compared to some of the others....

I hear you about position depth, but the fact is that the USC roster will have plenty of OLB that can fill in as that third MLB... and it's not like the third MLB really gets any PT anyway.
If you wait a few days there will be a release of a full roster with all of the correct names. Then if you're willing to wait a bit longer after that, there will be a modified roster where players are added/dropped and ratings are changed to more accurately reflect each team. Operationsports.com puts out these "community rosters". That way, for the first few years of the dynasty, everything will be close to accurate.
