Max Wittek named starter vs. ND

  • ND's offense isn't very good...like others have said, have him start of wit some safe throws to build confidence...I think this game comes down to how bad SC wants it...ND almost lost to Pitt and BYU...Lee, Woods, and Agoholor are mismatches for the ND secondary...I also like what I saw from Max in the Under Armour All-American game...I think he'll do just fine! I'll be rootin for y'all Sat not just cuz it helps us but because I can't stand ND...I went to college 40 min SE of South Bend...there fans are delusional...please bring them back to reality!

    Seriously, a float calling another fanbase delusional? At least Domers have history, tradition for excellence that gives them some reason to think they will become dominant AGAIN. floats cannot say the same, yet they talk and talk and talk.

    I hope you lose the civil war, or whatever you call it. How you can have two fanbases in the same state, floats and the Beavers so polar opposite, I'll never know.

  • I will be rooting for Max to light up the domers. Hope he has USC so far ahead that Kessler gets the 3rd quarter with Manoogian and Saee finishing them off in the 4th.

    No concept of defense...u guys got lucky that Hogan wasn't qb at Stanford when u beat them...he's much betta than Nunes! If Stanford would have figured that out earlier in the year they could be undefeated right now....in the past, our defense wasn't very good I'll give u that but not this year outside of SC...credit SC for takin advantage of 1 on 1 matchups the last 2 years against us! SC get it done! Send those seniors out wit a win on senior day!

    If they prep him properly this week, it could actually turn into a huge advantage. Wittek has nothing to lose since it's his first game as starter. Have him throw some conservative passes to start with, screens out to Marquise & Woods. Roll him out a couple times. Then turn him lose, he didn't come to SC to be spoon fed. This could ultimately be a good thing and become our "Rudy" moment. NOTHING TO LOSE!!

    No stupid bubble screens! How many times is Kiff going to call that play to see it almost get picked up week after week. Bury that play. I am looking forward to seeing Wittek play.

    Some poor sod in Bangladesh with no TV will be expecting us to throw a bubble screen. I hope Lane does something different. ND will tighten up on our Wrs and have a field day if we keep going with that play.

  • as much as i hate for barkley to miss this game...wittek can definitely do this imo

    and has wittek improved more than kessler has?

    since it was so close this entire time, wittek usually gets the nod

    i believe kessler was said to have been better at running the offense

    i believe both qbs could get it done, both are really good
