I feel bad for matt, his last game as a trojan. I appreciate everything matt has been to USC during these sanctions. My favorite QB, may nt be the best, but my favorite.
As for Max, the team is his next year, so great to have him start. And He and the team should not give a shit. The coaches should not give a shit. No BCS, and Kiffin is assured about his job for next year. So go out an play football like pop warner. ND has everything to lose.
So I really hope Lane relaxes things this week in practice, let Max feel like he is in a glorified scrimmage, and just play care free, like we did last year when we were winning.
If Max can play relaxed and our OL plays as if they dont give a shit and punch ND in the mouth, we can give ND problems.
We already know we cant out coach ND, but we got the players to score and cause ND problems. If its close in the 4th, we can win it.

As for Max Wittek, I was at the Stanford game and watched him in pregame. Not to disrespect anyone but if you took the numbers off of the QB's and watched them warmup you would pick Max. He was FAR more impressive then anyone on the field. He stood out like a d-1 player in high school. He has an absolute gun, perfect motion, and was right on the money everytime. Obviously I can't see what is between the ears, but his physical tools are off the chart and I am extremely excited to see him play.

ND has only played one offense ranked in the top 50 of FBS......maybe it's the homer in me but I think there will be plenty of opportunities to score. Not sold on ND defense being all world like their numbers suggest.

It still counts as a win. 11-0 is 11-0. Ohio St. Won close games the whole season in 2001-2002 and won the national championship.

Remember, when Barkley got hurt against Ohio State and everyone was saying how good Aaron Corp was going to be? Citing his high school production, it was his 3rd year in the program, and the fact that him being mobile QB was a big step up from our sitting duck that wears #7?
Be careful what you wish for! Anyone that thinks Wittek is ready to light it up against #1 ranked ND is delusional. I expect Kiffin to get McNeal/Redd plenty of touches this weekend. Hopefully, the o-line is able to hold their own against ND's defense so that we have a chance. If they pass protect as poorly as they did against UCLA, we better never fall behind or we're screwed.

I just think the numbers don't tell the whole story. Again, one offense ranked in top 50 of FBS......makes it easier to get said numbers. For the record, I do think NDs defense is good, but not all world. I think the USC offense will get chances to put points on the board. Just have to stay out of our own way, which is easier said than done this season.

ND's defense will cause some problems, but their offense isn't all that good. Score some and hammer their offense! My faith is in the Trojans to defrock the Domers! Fight On!
