It's time to win a NC for Loel and our dads and grandpas

  • I'm an oldtimeSCfan. Some of you know me as SColdtimer. I'm really SColdtimer III. My grandpa and dad went before me.

Saturday at the 24/7 tailgate I was talking with Mrs Loel Schader and the rest of Scott's family. We were remembering. It's good to remember and be remembered. When I was driving home from the spring game I thought about Loel and my dad and grandpa. I have to admit I teared up a little in the car.

If Morley Drury was the noblest Trojan of them all, Loel Schader was certainly the noblest reporter of them all. They were part of the greatest generation.

I put on my SC band CD and began to think of a NC this year for Loel, my dad and grandpa and all the greats who introduced us to USC football.

A few months ago I elected myself chairman of the OGANCAA. (Old guys and gals against the NCAA) I want to see USC win the NC this year, so I can that crystal ball and put it where the sun doesn't shine at the NCAA. I want a crystal ball for the Pac 12 and the SEC as well. I've chose the place for them to put it. It's dark there.

But I haven't spent my life against things. (except ND, UCLA, the Pac 12, the NCAA and everyone USC is playing this year)

You are the same way. We are here because we are for USC. I want to see Barkley and McDonald and the USC football team get that NC. They have prevailed. Win the NC or not I'm for them always.

I'm for you guys too. We are not just fans. We are friends. I miss all the guys and gals at practice. I'll never forget Scott's brother treating us all to dinner one year after practice. Getting to be with Loel and his family was like being with kings.

This is USC's year. When Woods is back in August and Farmer gets healthy we are going to see the greatest areal show in the history of CFB. And we will probably see the most improved defense USC has ever put on the field.

It's time for justice, rage and ruin against the NCAA and Pac 12.
It's time to tell Oregon to, "Get off our lawn"
It's time to take down the SEC in the BCS championship.
    It's time for remembering

So every time the band plays conquest this year, and I put my fingers up in the V for victory. I'm going to be remember Loel, my dad and grandpa.

It's time to win a NC for them

    Are you with me?

  • So glad to see you here. For those few Trojans that might not know, SColtimer is truly one of our gems. Believe me, it's an honor to sit at his knee and listen to his stories and share his vast knowledge of USC football history and tradition. We really miss Don Loel.

    Love you SColdtimer! bow

  • I'm praying for a USC NC so I don't have to figure out who the hell I'm rooting for in an MSU USC Rose Bowl haha

    Spartrojan

  • Spring is about filling the holes in you depth chart and getting your starting units together. If Tre Madden had not been hurt, it would have been a fantastic spring. But it still was a very good one.

FB Soma Nainuku, LT Aundrey Walker, NTs JR Tavai, Antwaun Woods made a lot of progress. DT George Uko is an upgrade. USC should go into fall camp with a good starting 22 players. WR George Farmer has to get healthy, but he can be a great one.

Opposing defenses will need 5 safeties to try and cover the Trojans this year. This fall camp is going to be one of the most competitive ever between the offense and defense. And the team will be ready.

Lane Kiffin is bringing in a great recruiting class from 2012. He hit the jackpot with his assistant coach hires. There is every reason to look for a really good year.

And a great recruiting class for 2013 is being put together.

    I can't wait!

No matter how old you are CFB never gets old/

  • I have two daughters and three granddaughters and my wife Mrs SColdtimer. I live in ladyland.

    They all have me.

All of my best men are women.

My youngest daughter just had a little girl on Friday. So my granddaughters are SClittletimer, SCtinytimer, and SCteenytimer. They are all members of the OGANCAA.

I was hoping my first child would become a offensive tackle at USC someday. And I got a beautiful baby girl. She did graduate from USC, and so did her husband.

My two son in laws are great.

  • My mom is 91 and as sharp as ever. i took her home after Easter. She kissed me goodbye and said, "Paully I'm tough." Mom is tough, tender and thoughtful.

My sister is a college president. She sent me a note today. Mrs SColdtimer and i can count on her for wisdom and good counsel. By two or three witnesses every matter is established.

Without the girls the world would be black and white and no color,.
