Lee can't cause he's only a sophomore. Woods can however. My thing is, I think Woods has been feeling neglected and tired of being overlooked by Lee on the field. So many times Barkley would rather throw into triple coverage Lee over a wide open Woods. Ironically, I think Wittek playing on Saturday could change things. If Wittek is willing to spread the ball around and show that he isn't going to use Lee as a crutch but take advantage of the defense is giving him, Woods may stay.

Everyone here who comes with alleged sources on the team says he is leaving, and I think that says a lot. I think the only way he stays is his draft stock already being severely dropped, which I think it should be without knowledge of the senior/declaring WR corps this year. Sure, Barkley has been prone to forcing it to Lee, but in the games I've been watching, all but Syracuse from a TV set or computer screen, Woods hasn't been ignored per se. Perhaps he hasn't gotten separation this year? I love Woods, he's a real man and a great Trojan, but I think his injury has hobbled him more than we'd like to admit (ah, how mortal we are!) and that he isn't the RW2 of last year, to be sure. Who knows. Would he be able to have a Pro Day before he declares? I think Woods will be a tremendous asset for any team that drafts him, but Steve Smith isn't doing much these days and the two remind me a lot of each other. How long did Smith have in the league? 3 seasons?

Last year, the deadline to declare for the NFL draft was January 15th. USC's Pro Day was March 7th. Most draft-eligible Juniors work with the athletic department and pro scouts, etc to get a feel for where they will get drafted. So, he'll have to make the decision following the last regular season game and before mid-January, then train his butt off for the combine (if invited) and the Pro Day.
Regarding Steve Smith, he's actually in his 6th NFL season (see attached link). He's been injury prone, but he has one Pro Bowl to his credit. Not outstanding, but not too shabby either....(he's stuck around longer than Jarrett).
