I got in!

  • First off I want to apologize that this is not a topic that is about Trojan Football and if anyone gets mad or upset of clicking this and not seeing football I'm sorry, but this week was very special to me. This past Monday, I received news that allows me to finally say that I am part of the Trojan Family. I was in contact with one of the Student Services woman who works for the Engineering Department and she left me an email Monday Morning that made me one of the happiest people during that Morning. I got my acceptance email and I will be attending SC this coming Fall to obtain my MS in Structural Engineering. With midterms this week, I wasn't able to express how I really felt but since they are over now, It is really starting to sink in knowing the fact that I can call myself a Trojan along with many of you great alums and current students. What has stand out to me so far is how they have mentioned to me about "Trojan Family." These two words along with many I am sure I will cherish. Words still can't describe how I truly feel about being accepted and all I keep doing is watching SC films and football films haha. I hope that I can show SC and her alumni that they accepted a great student to attend and hope I don't screw up. I am very happy to be part of this board and if Scott wants to move this to the off topic board I perfectly understand. I look forward to keeping in touch with you all and hopefully I can start attending the Meet and Gatherings you all set up. With this being the start of many for this saying I want to say it first here: "Fight On!!!!"

  • Welcome to the Trojan family. Being a Trojan alum is very special. We have one of the best alumni associations in the US. Other people have come up to me and told me how much they envied our school, our alumni association and how it takes care of its members. It was endearingly described to me as the Trojan Mafia. Enjoy and savor your time at Troy. Congrats.

Troybill- I didn't attend USC but I am truly jealous of those that did. If I would've known what SC was about when I was on HS then I would've worked my tail off to become part of the family. The alumni groups are incredible, as is the school pride. My obsession with the football program opened my eyes to the realization that SC is much more than a football school.

    Congrats to OP.

I still couldn't imagine my life without having gone to USC. You only live once, and knowing what I know now, I'd be REALLY disappointed if I had gone to school anywhere else. Welcome to The Trojan family and Fight On!

  • I did my undergraduate down the road at UCI. I am graduating this June, so it'll be quite a transition but I am ready. Thanks for all the support everyone. It's very humbling.
