I got a kick out of the Oregon fan who "blames the NBA for USC's recent recruiting success since now it's en vogue for all of the stars to want to play together".
He want on to opine that he "longed for the day where the stars coming out of high school football would all go to different schools and spread the talent out"
Sounded to me like the poster felt the players were obligated to create parity.
The irony of that comment is perplexing. Does he mean back in the days when there were no schollie limits and USC had kids sitting on the sidelines, just because...or did he mean back in the day when there were no schollie limits and the Floats never made a bowl game?? Those days?
Maybe he meant the days when those "stars coming out of high school" were flocking to Eugene?

I didn't get the impression that any/many USC fans were over there gloating. Instead, there was more of a collective attitude like "Don't worry, there's still plenty of talent out there to sign like Goodman, Willis, the Robinson Twins... You guys will have a strong class when all was said and done"
As TW alluded to, it was somewhat patronizing to a degree.
