Hawkins Has New Announcement Date

  • No need to address what Barton and Jc think.People that get paid to recruit think that Hawkins for whatever reason is a scholarship kid.They are the ones that analyze film and tape.Since I was at the camp this week Hawkins did not have one ball caught on him while making two interceptions one to save the game. This is why its okay for dads to post on hear because Is one won't get into that shooting match with anyone that has anything negative to say about mine.

    However, Tahaan not having an offer puzzles me. IMO, he is the top safety prospect in CA this year as I think Su'a is a Will.

    Redfield is a super athlete, but I like Tahaan's tape more. Coupled with his frame and tape he is a no brainer offer kid.

    I have a feeling that if Tahaan said he was going commit to Stanford in a couple of days, USC would offer.

    Don't know if it was a ploy, but it seems like Hawkins almost committing to Stanford forced USC's hand.

    +1000. Never ceases to amaze me that people still question our staff's evaluations. If the staff wants him that is good enough for me. I don't give two shits how someone else rates the kid. Staff seems to want Hawkins so I hope he ends up at SC!!

    I'm not referring to your prediction that Seymour goes elsewhere. Shit many posters thought like you and the mccarthy prediction wasn't difficult after a certain point in his recruitment.

    I'm referring to your baseless and assumptive comments basically stating Seymour doesn't have a Trojan personality, that he's basically not competitive enough to be a Trojan, and wanted things handed to him. You never met the kid yet you came to that conclusion based on a few articles you read on him. Seems you're doing the same with Hawkins by insinuating his first announcement MAY have been a ploy to force USC's hand.

  • Amen to that, Mr. Hawkins! Congrats to you and to your family wherever he chooses. I appreciate your post...I don't know whether some of the people who come on these boards intentionally or unintentionally put some of these kids down or say things negative w/out thinking about what they write. I know we all want what's best for our favorite team and sometimes people probably just don't think about how negative a post can come across...but of course, there are some real knuckleheads too! Congrats again and your son is a big time player. Fight On!!!

    As long as he stays in the Pac-12, i will be happy. Sure, i would love for him to be a Trojan.
    That said, i retired from the Army and live in Alabama, where they take football more seriously than the kids GPA.

    lol that was my attempt at humor. Pretty much crossing them off the list of potential suitors since they are adidas and you stated it would be a Nike school. Anyhow, it seems to be a Stanford SC final two and either way he chooses it wont be wrong. I hope it's us for sure, but if not Fight On anyway.

    Since Uncle Phil has his name plastered on buildings and plaques at his graduate school alma mater, Stanford...it's safe to say that university is also a Nike school.

    The stupid fools in oregon let him buy their football program and run that school like a tyrant...at Stanford he's just another name on their extensive billionaire list.
