Funny, I never heard any of these comments when he was a USC lock. Goes to Oregon and all of a sudden he is weak and fragile. OK, so he fumbled in his first game in college football...looks like today, he got rid of the butterflies in his stomach and was much more aware. He held on to the ball like you are supposed to and made some really big plays. Instant game changer.

You didn't hear those comments because he was never coming to USC as an offensive player. And he was sure as hell never going to play RB. They may have used him as a situational Offensive player and that is it.
He looked good against Nevada. Playing against big boys, he didn't look quite so good. He is quich as hell, and is going to make plays, no doubt, but just chill out with the Once in a decade Heiaman crap.
He is small, and brittle. he got knocked out of so many HS games it isn't funny, and he is an idiot if he thinks he has any future at Running Back.
He is also a lying Hood Rat.

Don't see anyone calling him weak or fragile in this thread. Has always played strong and with no fear. Big concern is durability (was a problem in high school) and his playing style exacerbate those concerns. If his body type (i.e, slight of frame and thin lower body) were an issue when he was playing against smaller/weaker players, it only makes sense that those concerns would be magnified at the D-1 level.
Never been a question of his skills, but rather would be able to take the pounding an every down running back needs at the D1 level and then how does he project at the next level. Based on his size many thought CB was his best long term position (not that his size/frame would not be an issue at CB), but it is much easier to excel as smaller/leaner CB than as a running back.
I agree he looks great and if he stays healthy will have a fabulous collegiate career. Only time will tell if he able to stay healthy and if he is able to make the jump to the pros as an every day back.
On the bright side, if you miss DAT that much and are all bent we did not get him, the Quacks have about 100 different number 6 uniforms for you to choose from :-)

Bad analogy. His size wouldn't have been as much of a factor at Cornerback, so don't even bring up Nickell
No comparison at all with Quizz Rogers or Maurice Jones Drew or Darren Sproles.
If you look at those guys in shorts, they look like squashed versions of Earl Campbell.
DAT looks like a smaller version of Mesean Jackson.
And that ain't a good thing

wow, talk about a bitter old person. Did you say anything like this while he was committed to USC? Did you ever, as the big bad USC fan that you are, throw down the meaningless gauntlet?
YOU COME HERE YOU PLAY CORNER. ME TARZAN YOU CORNER!

Yes, I did. When he all of a sudden said he wanted to play Running Back because he wanred to win a Heisman, I said it was a problem.
I saw enough of him at RB to know he would nver play RB at USC if he was going to last.
You talk a lot of shyte, and we BOTH know you would never say any of this to my face.
And I don't live in Atlanta.
You should become an Oregon fan and move to Eugene where you could be next to your new mancrush, D'Anthony, the lying hood rat.
Once in a decade player! LMAO
