Why the F not? We can't win in Palo Alto? We haven't lost in South Bend for 11 years. I'm more concerned about Reeser either than either of those places. The D will be better. Believe it or not, I think the O will be better WITHOUT Barkley and Woods. I am smoking crack? Maybe a little. But look at the schedule and tell me which game we have NO CHANCE of winning.
at Stanford per fighton247

Luckily, we won't be playing in Palo Alto this coming season (unless it is for the Pac-12 CCG.....)
And if we go 13-0, then why can't we go 15-0?
Upvote for anyone who uses a dumb and dumber reference.
Start 6-0 hopefully. Surprise upset at ND, suddenly were a top 10 team, 7-0, with momentum...anything is possible.
The AZ State game worries me more then any of them right now. We seem to have a knack for laying an egg on our first conference road game and Az St. is going to be solid next year. I do hope we are more ready this year then we were 2 years ago for that game
Don't underestimate that trip to Tempe
"If this was a prize fight they'd call it off"- F ND!
I could have swore we got Furd at home.
Wouldn't exactly sleep on the Tempe trip. Even the 2011 season when we ended up raging to a 10 win season, we lost there.
@ Corvelis is always a pain in the neck and is far from a guarantee.
We do have Furd in the Coli (Nov 16th).

As I said at the beginning of last year, when most on this board thought we had a cake walk to the national championship game. Every Pac-12 road game , and some home ones, are difficult ones. Even the great teams from 2003 - 2008 had trouble with Pac-12 road games. 2013 will NOT be one of those great teams and will struggle with many of the Home games, let alone a few of the road games.
It is not so much that there are games that we have NO chance of winning, I just see several games that I could see us losing. There are six games on our schedule that I could see us losing. To be clear do I see us losing every one of those games, no BUT I do think there are several games we could lose and that makes going 13 - 0 unlikely.
But I do love the positive thinking :-)
Right - and it'll be 7 home games and 6 road.
I think 4-0 to open the season and if those go smooth and the new QB settles in then watch out.
We're losing at Oregon State for sure. They'll be underrated and we'll overlook them and they'll play their butts off against us like they always do, then lose the other half of their games. Even if we are terrific the rest of the season, it would be a huge shock for me if we get that win.
The last time we won in Corvallis was 2004...
I must have gotten my schedule info from a non-reliable site. Hurry up, Scott, and change it!!!!!
Agree. This will be our toughest game for sure.
They won't be underrated and overlooked by Kiffin. He tried to hire all their coaches. lol
Not to mention they were good this last year. And we hadn't won in Eugene in forever until a game where we had no chance...

Surprisingly, I would actually put the @OSU game on the same pedestal as the @ND game. Really interested to see if this past year was just a flash in the pan, perfect storm season for ND or not (UM down, USC down, 22+ Seniors who at least contributed, HUGE breaks vs. Pitt/BYU/Furd, etc.)
Maybe it was a secret ploy.
Interview question #1 "So how would you be game planning to stop our offense Mr Banker?"
It was. I would not be surprised at all to surpass them next year. UCLA has more staying power than ND with the changes they made imo.
All we need is our starting QB to play and we should have this game in hand.
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
But what if its windy every time we play???? We might not win games!!
Please keep this between you and me, Spirit, but I attended Utah State for my very first quarter of college back in the Fall of 1981. I am a closet Aggie and proud of it. If we have to lose one game this year, I hope it's this one.
The only reason is self destruction. None of our opponents overmatch us. None. We are more talented than all of them.
The real question is, can we get out of spring football undefeated?
