Who ya got on the field for the first snap against Hawaii?

Im going with none. Very talented young men and some will get in the rotation next season most likely, but I see none of these kids getting a start @ Hawaii.
"If this was a prize fight they'd call it off"- F ND!
Cravens and Ramsey
Only one: Jalen Ramsey.
If Robey leaves Ramsey will be the best CB on the roster from day one. That said I think Eddie V and Bigelow will play a significant part in the DL rotation, but I don't see them starting with Uko and Leonard still at DT. Su'a has a chance because of depth, but safety is a pretty hard position to pick up and I think Bowman or Shaw or D. Wright will set up and get the start.
I think a couple of those guys will work into a starting role as the season goes on (ala Leonard)
I can see Ramsey starting right away if Robey leaves, but I think Cravens and Eddie definitely see PT in game one.
He is gonna go HAM on that field from day 1
Co-sign. By mid-year, I bet one or two become starters but I'm not seeing any from the get-go. Ramsey would be the best bet if Robey leaves but assuming he stays, I'm guessing the starting pair is Robey and Seymour. Cravens is a dark horse as well, but it will be tough to unseat both Wright and Bowman by Week 1.
The EEs will have PLENTY of time to show the coaches what they got.
Cravens, Ramsey and M3 are all probable EEs right? Maybe not Ramsey.
I say AT LEAST 1 of those 3 secondary players show off their brilliance this spring and become starters day 1.
All 3 will do just fine this spring, but at least 1 will make the coaches eyes pop out of their heads.
Starter day 1.
Vandy is not a EE correct?
Bigelow is though, he'll have plenty of time to show his stuff.
In the end, it will be 1 or 2 of those blue chips in the secondary.
I'm going with Cravens. Can't keep a baller like him off the field.
Maybe a better question would be which incoming freshman get playing time at Hawaii? I say:
None start however...

Ramsey will start from day one even if Robey stays. It's possible that Cravens could, because even though we have the depth, he's just that good.
A handful of them could be starting by midseason.
Let's temper our enthusiasm and expectations for Ramsey. Robey has become a great cornerback but during his first start against Hawaii, a ton of posters wanted him kicked off of the team. I remember someone saying "if I had a Nickell for every time he got burnt...."
Ramsey may be a future All American but he is bound to have some growing pains stepping up to play for SC.
I'd say the same should be true of any incoming player.
Ramsey at the nickel is the only one I could see starting.
I wouldnt sleep on Cravens. Many believe he is way ahead of himself in terms of developmnet and he gets the full spring to prove it.

With new DC, I think frosh LBs and DBs will have a better chance than normal

CA player of the year,
and Cravens has a couple things going for him,
TJ McDonald is gone, and his main competition is Shaw and Bowman,
i'm a huge fan of Bowman, so i can see both getting playing time, actually a steady dose of Shaw/Bowman/Cravens probably would make any secondary coach happy.
Back during CPC's reign, he used to sit the returning team down and show them highlights of the incoming Freshmen and tell the team that these kids were coming in to take their jobs. This really promoted the competition factor and probably to better overall play from 1 to 85.
Does anyone know if CLK is doing that? What about Competition Tuesdays?
I'm all for a True Freshman starting over a 5th year Senior, if he is the better player. No room for egos on this team.
As Coach McKay used to say, he wants the "Best-11 not the 11-Best"....
