Whenever the NCAA releases new sanctions, it only opens fresh wounds and makes me super pissed.
UNC infractions are 10x worse than anything at USC, yet will get penalties substantially less severe.
I am really interested to see if those 5 scholarships are off total and recruiting class or just off total like tOSU, which really has no impact.
That bowl ban's really going to hurt them... how will they motivate their players without the possibility of going to the independence, music city, or meineke car care bowl??
All I really care about now is...how we get through our sanctions, and maintain the health of our players.
Amazing how the character and heart of our young team makes me not give a damn about anyone else...it's not stopping kids from committing, or dreaming of being Trojans.
IF we get to a big bowl game, or the biggest game in CFB - and win, I don't want to hear one word about our kid's success connected to the PAC-12, or congratulations from anyone outside this strong and powerful Trojan Family. Win or lose, they've stood alone with only us as support..FU to everyone outside.

Just in case people aren't aware, here are UNC's infractions:
1. Seven players received $27,097.38 in benefits from individuals, some of whom trigger NCAA agent legislation.
--Players acknowledged that they received travel, meals, cash, jewelry and “entertainment expenses” from multiple agents, financial advisers and former UNC players.
2. A tutor provided improper academic assistance to players and about $3,500 in impermissible extra benefits to football student-athletes, including paying for plane tickets and parking fines.
3. During a review of former assistant coach John Blake’s phone records, UNC discovered recruiting violations when Blake made multiple calls to a recruit in a week when just one was permitted.
4. Blake further violated NCAA recruiting rules between May 2007 and October 2009. Blake was found to have deposited $31,000 in payments from Gary Wichard’s sports agency, Pro Tect Management. (i.e. he was being paid to get UNC players to sign with a specific sports agency)
Oh, and just in case you thought it was UNC who uncovered these violations, you are wrong. The university became aware that players had taken impermissible benefits when a member of the NCAA Agent, Gambling and Amateurism staff notified them on June 21, 2010.

Do you know if the NCAA plans to hit UNC with Failure to Monitor or Lack of Institional Control?
Also, is UNC a repeat violator?
Again, an assistant coach who should have known after a players leaves a school is so much worse than an actual assistant coach being funneled money and actually knowing.
UNC gets 1 year bowl ban and loss of 15 scholarships. USC should have just said McNair knew, blamed him and the school would have been better off.

IF these are the sanctions you get for REALLY CHEATING.. then maybe SC should have gone all out and broken some rule... all jokes aside... I cannot belive that what happened at USC is worst than academic cheating.. mulitple players getting cash ... and other stuff is worst than Reggie Bush's Family and a third party with no affiliation to USC did... Ohio State .. UNC... now I want to see what Miami gets .. because if they don't get somehting worth than USC got ... them being repeat offenders and all.. USC will have been screwed really bad.
